What kind of events does your guild have
I'm wokring on getting some more ideas for my guild to help promote unity and get people on more often.
We are mainly a PvE guild, don't do a lot of PvP, occiasionaly AB...but most don't like PvP because they haven't done it. So both PvE ideas, and ways to get members more interested in PvP areas would be helpful. Thanks in Advance |

FoW clears, vanquishes, missions, GvG's and more.
We tend to do pretty much everything tbh, it's always nice to have a bit of variety |

The first thing I would say it High-End areas for PvE.
Secondly, for PvP, even if you do them just for fun, GvGs can be great as they a good chance for everyone to work together. From my experience people are usually willing to hop aboard if you announce a GvG. Try BYOB (Bring Your Own Build) for the first couple. |

Well my alliance, which is very small, just had a lan party over the weekend, which would be our 4th or so since we all got together. We are all local so its easy for us to be in the same room and do what ever.
This weekend was to get those of us that haven't beaten Nightfall through and push farther into GW:EN. Previously we have had get togethers to beat factions and a big farming day. Prolly the easiest thing to start doing to plan stuff around the weekend events. If its a pvp weeked event, like it normally is, make a guild announcement for it and get some people together. If its a pve weekend take a poll of who would wanna participate. Basically a good place to start would be either pick a weekend event to give a theme for the weekend or pick a goal like mapping or completing a campaign, capping skills, farming greens, or something and just put the word out. If one guild member is having trouble beating a specific mission, try to get a few other guildmates to help out instead of relying on pugs. |

A list of items to find, or certain people to find in an area? Little more explination please Thanks all for the other invites, we do some of the above mentioned, but seeing as people are all over the map, and new people joining every once and a while and then them being behind where everyone else is, and those annoying 4 party in Tryia make it hard to have multiple parties. Most of the guild is good about doing things together, but the new guys to the guild sometimes have a harder time getting in with the inside jokes and such, ,that and the lack of knowledge of the game or areas. Something that you just have to deal with sometimes Keep em coming, more ideas the more better. |

If you are specifically having problems with people new to the guild and game knowledge, I've seen some guilds assign a veteran to help the new guys learn the ropes.
As for events, we let people suggest what they want to do. We have one officer who enjoys HFFF so she hosts an event once a week for that. Our weekly AB event has been taken over by a member who wants to learn more about AB recently. Otherwise, it's whatever someone feels like doing: HM/NM missions, elite area clears, a casual GVG team has recently started up again. We also have regular "swap meet" type events where alliance members get together to buy/sell/trade stuff to other members. We try to rotate the guild hall it is hosted at. Good way to clear inventory. We recently held a scavenger hunt event. Basically you need to select a list of items that your target audience can get. For maximum exposure, I set up an easy and hard list (early part of game, late part of game) for each campaign. Just look up the type of monsters in that area on the wiki and see what they drop (stone horns, smoky remains...try not to use stuff that people already hoard like char carvings). I also added a quest item like the Mark of Aiden or Imperial Commendations for a little variety. Because my lists were small, I set up time limits for the items to be found, with a final item in reserve to use for a tie-breaker. This can be expensive depending on participation and how you award prizes (if any). |

We have hm, dungeon, elite mission runs. I also try to do some give-aways during weekends (like if we get x factions with the guild in AB weekend), then there is also the gvg's and ha's from time to time.
We also do trivia games, drawing competitions and I still have a lot of ideas ready to keep the members interested. Since I have an all dutch guild, we also have a lot of meetings (weekly pool events, parties, group outies to fantasy expo's/amusement parks, festivals,...) |

Ursan UW, Ursan FoW, Ursan stuff... I don't participate in those, instead I let them know they are noobs.
We also do AB, and sometimes there are TA or HA groups. Many people title grind and sometime people get together for vanquishes or HM missions (without Ursan, omg). Of course, we do A LOT of HFF... we are a faction farming guild after all! |
