Selling items
When selling items to other players, would it be wiser to give it to them clean(no inscrips or mods) or to give it to them with whatever mods the weapon comes with.

I usually sell it clean, with either a 15^50 for low req items or a +5 Energy Insc for higher req ones. They can put whatever mods they choose from there. Most people have their own mods they want on there anyways.

Yeah it seems to usually be a better choice to sell clean, then the person can mod to their heart's desire. Then of course there are people who want "x" "x" "item" etc...

it looks nicer clean, people will generally buy for a little bit more/more influenced to buy if it's "clean" rather than filled up with random crappy mods and inscriptions. :P

Don't really make a difference i suppose. But whenever someone trades me a 100% clean weapon, I will always be taken aback and take a 2nd look before accepting the trade
It just look ... different haha |

Pretty much depends on the item's and upgrade's values.
I can only shake my head when I see "WTS 20/20 15^50 +30HP Dead Sword". I'd say it's always better to take off good mods from weapons, especially if the weapon itself is worth less than the upgrades. If all mods are bad, then I wouldnt salvage them off, as perfect salvaging 3 upgrades costs you about 1k, and that's really not worth it. But I agree with "IcyFiftyFive". The weapon looks better clean than with a 13^50, Crippling and +18% Enchantment. If you dont mind buying perfect salvage kits every day, then sell them clean, if the item is worth it^^ |

I don't understand why people would waste a perfect salvage kit to salvage crappy mods off a good weapon? I also don't understand why a buyer would care what mods are on said weapon when they buy it... all you have to do is add whatever mod you want and it will automatically replace whatever is on there, no harm, no cost, no worries.

I may lose a small number of sales to people who don't understand how to mod weapons, or just want it clean just because they want it clean, but it's not to worry. Last edited by Quaker; Jun 11, 2008 at 08:28 PM // 20:28.. |

Eh, actually only salvage mods worth selling alone i.e. perfect sundering and +30 health amplitude mods, forget me nots, etc etc. Leave it on if its not worth selling or the salvage (this applies to low end items) if its high end you might wanna scrape the mods out or replace it with perfect mods, always +30, since thats the best mods according to both pros and noobs..
