Guild Wars Glossary
I have been playing for over a year now but have not spent a whole lot of time in the forums til recently. So there is still some of the terminology that i am not sure what it means. (Examples: SoI, AP, SF, just to name a couple)
I know i will probably feel like an idiot once i am told what they mean. Just to help us forum noobs out. If there is already a thread that covers this, just delete this thread and please send me a PM with a link. |

There are missing terms on that list, though...
For example, TntF! (There's nothing to Fear!), FDS (Fiery dragon Sword), SY! (Save Yorselves!)... |

And then there are the ones that can mean different skills, such as LoD - Light of Deliverence or Light of Deldrimor - depending on where you are.

Well i guess we can leave this thread open so people just passing through can maybe add a thing or two, or learn a thing or two. I remember when i first started playing the game... I would hear people talking about UW (Underworld) & FoW (Fissure of Woe)... hell i didn't even know about those places until i was already lvl 20.

I converted the list of acronyms into a PDF for reference but it is 21 kb which exceeds the forum limit (kinda of lame actually). The Word version I can add though.
If you can't open .doc files and you want it, PM with an e-mail address and I'll send it to you. The GWEN/EotN (Guild Wars: Eye of the North) acronyms are not listed though. HoS: Heart of Shiverpeaks CoF: Cathedral of Flames Are the two most popular. |
