Why Ebon?
On PvX Wiki, many builds require an ebon weapon. Why not a shocking, icy, or fiery weapon? There isn't an earth conjure was why I was wondering...

This skill causes blindness when you use attack skills with an earth weapon. What are some of the builds you saw on PvX wiki?

most people have armor sets vs slashing/piercing/fire damage
ebon is the least accounted for i think so if your target has extra damage against your piercing daggers you can use your ebon so you won't do less damage or something like that |

It's ebon because earth is the least common ele in PvP so less people carry a shield against it.
Also all ele mods do same damage vrs wars (removes the +20 armor) |

people tend to want to counter the basics: ie. 10vs fire, lightning etc as well

Unless using a conjure build, any weapon used in say a Shock Axe build or a Dragon Slash or Cripslash or Linebacker bar for an elemental weapon swap could be any elemental mod. The only way you will tell what it is for sure is by seeing them use either a conjure build, very few select skills such as Ebon Dust Aura or Grenths Grasp (icy weapon iirc) or a few select types of weapons aka icy or firey dragon sword, icy bladed axe, ice breaker hammer.
Most people say take ebon because not many people will carry a sheild vs earth damage, well ok maybe in HA or AB where sandstorm eles are more common place. |

Meta (from Greek: μετά = "after", "beyond", "with"), is a prefix used in English in order to indicate a concept which is an abstraction from another concept, used to complete or add to the latter. The Greek meta is equivalent to the Latin post.
Did they remove Avatars from PvP? I never use dervish skills outside of PvE. Last edited by KMVRanger; Jun 12, 2008 at 08:51 PM // 20:51.. |

Which one is that? Pop up isn't working. Yah, it never occurred to me that there already IS an anti-hex avatar. I rarely play my dervish and I only have Melandru and Balthazar.
