No Duncan NM because i did HM? - Guild Wars Forums

yo,

so i was just gonna try to kill Duncan the black in slavers but when we got there the gate was closed
the team was stunned cuz of this cuz it meant someone didn't kill the 4 bosses or something else
they asked who had HM and i said i had already done duncan HM but now i needed NM for my title and i had all 4 bosses dead
the team blamed me for not being able to go in and ragequited
so my question is
can't i do duncan NM cuz i already HM or was there some dumb shit in my team who didn't do the bosses

Once you kill Duncan, you gotta go through the whole thing again. So go back and kill the four bosses, then you can go do Duncan in NM

As long as you took the quest again after you beat it in HM, then killed the four bosses again after you had already beaten Duncan and accepted the quest reward in HM, there shouldn't be a problem.

If you tried to just go to duncan again without beating the 4 bosses all over again, then that was the problem.

i did all 4 bosses
i even went to check after the team ragequited with H/H and the gate was open for me
so it was not my fault at any rate

I ended up doing it H/H because it's a pain in the ass to A) find a pug, and B) actually have the door be open once you find one.

My heroes were a hex heavy necro (with a couple corpse denial skills), an interrupt/prot mesmer, and a holy damage dervish. I was an interrupt/spike R/A with FS and swap. I also made sure the necro had the necessary skill to kick duncan in the nuts, but I forget what skill that is offhand.

Henchies were the two monks, and I think Herta...and I can't remember the last one.

I'm never doing it again, I hate that freaking dungeon.

hey there are lots of people who want to do the dungeon....however, with that dang ursan thing.....lots of people are scared to even post they are doing it since they may not 'meet the rank requirements' of most groups.....(like me, would love to do those dungeons, will probably h/h it like Ralgha though---)

Awww! When you're next at the grotto - have a look and see if we're around - we don't fuss about Ursan as long as we kill Duncan.

One of my Guildies (Zappa) 'lives' there sometimes - but she's on vacation for a few weeks, she has Duncan sorted in HM and NM I think!

There's an easy solution you know, Find a nice guild that does stuff and it means you don't have to pug anymore
