Their healing isn't all that powerful I find, so if you have enough damage target the Flameshielders first, or at least interrupt their Meteor Shower, weakness on the melee/rangers, and it's a cakewalk.

can you provide more info like what build your using? what prof are you? what heros do you use? etc try to bring a BHA ranger with epidemic to spread daze because there are a lot of casters there. Try to use the siege devourer if you can.

Blinding Surge works nicely. Most of the damage from the Charr comes from the Warriors and Rangers. They all use a Conjure, so are enchanted. Blinding Surge will cause any close together to be blinded. Take out the Flameshielder's first, and the Dominators second. Daze on the casters is quite effective.

no no no. you have to take out the charr with rez first. i believe the avengers and dominators have a hard rez and the axe masters have rez sig. if you have daze use it on flameshielders or a mesmer with [[diversion]. that area is a pain in the ass with H/H though. me and a couple guildies did it with heroes and it still took us about an hour and a half with a couple wipes. a MM and a player with [[pain inverter] helps a lot on the seekers and flameshielders also.

You have problems with the Charr in Grothmar Wardowns? You sure it isn't the grawl or the flame djinns?

I cleared that area using sab's build. That worked for me. Minions gave me enough damege. I just used myself for target for the meteor shower at the beguining, and then I had the heroes attack.
I ended up with some DP, but managed to loose it pretty fast. Last edited by Siirius Black; Jul 25, 2008 at 08:12 PM // 20:12.. |

Bring [[Frozen Soil] to counter their rezzing. Bring a N/Rt with [[Lively Was Naomei] in case you yourself are dying and need to be rezzed under Frozen Soil.

Just bring DP removal. You will have a couple wipes but as long as you can keep you DP fairly low you should be fine. Its really hard to pick a first target, the mesmers can mesmers have a hard rez while the rest have rez sig (at least the warriors do.). I always tried to take out the flames shielders first using my minios to keep the warriors distracted. Then I jumped on the mesmers and monks. Good luck that area did get annoying.

Another thing you can do is to start from dalada uplands and use the siege devourer from that zone to assist in taking out difficult spawns. This allows you to have a second devourer in the zone so that if you lose it. You have another.
There is very little you have to fight on the way to grothmar if you go from doomlore shrine. Just a few seekers, then the devourer and zone to wardowns and there you go. Start the zone with a siege and have a spare if you lose one. |

Its hardly ....hard :P This was infact my first eye of the north vanqish and i found it a cakewalk. i suppose the main skills that i used had to be.....
Frozen Soil and.... thats it really :P BHA and epidemic always ...always rules in hard mode and infact anywhere else. I would recommend using the Frostyway its not on pvx but you may have heard of it .....if u have use it if u have not..... then im not telling i dnt want it branded wiki :P or even guru. |
