Shadow Stepping Help
Hi im trying to use shadow stepping skills to run Scoundrels rise, (due to all the hexes, speed decreasing ones ) So i have heard that there is no distance max to shadow step to foe, but when i use deaths charge it runs me up so foe is right on my aggro circle! could someone tell me whats going on?
( i have heard that it needs to be a direct path to the foe and it is, but it still doesn't work!) edit-Then guild wiki states the skill wrong---"Shadow stepping does not have a distance limitation unless you would shadow step over impassible terrain, in which case the shadow step is restricted to the radius of the radar." a note on page http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Shadow_step edit- Could someone tell me how to run through Scoundrels rise then? (BTW im a warrior) Last edited by rynodread; Aug 01, 2008 at 08:09 PM // 20:09.. |

Thats how shadowstepping works. It brings you to edge of agro, so thats why you target the furthest monster away so you can break the agro quicker.

Shadowsteps require casting range to work and will put you right next to your targetted foe.
It's the way they work. They're primarily used to get right next to something and kill it. |

Not all shadowsteps require "casting range" to work.... I can think of at least one that is a stance, and teleports you back to where you entered the stance when it ends. Some of them are maintained enchantments (obviously casting range is still needed to cast it) but don't end until you stop maintaining.
In cases like these, max shadow step range is indeed radar range. Also, you can't shadow step to somewhere you otherwise couldn't go by walking. In order to do that, you need to teleport. Think of shadow stepping as walking really really fast. |
