too many gold items!!
I've got a lot of gold items, and I dont know what to do with them!! They take up inventory space, and they are the kinds of things nobody wants to buy. How can i get the best value out of them?

If you're positive no one will buy them:
1) Salvage for good mods that you can use/sell 2) Give to heroes 3) Merchant |

from my past experience, gold items aren't as good as they are hyped up to be mostly b/c superior runes are cheap

You could go to one of the noobie towns: Shing Jea, Ascalon, Kamadan, etc and just give them to people level 10 and under. Then you get all warm and fuzzy on the inside. And to top it all off you'll be able to fill up your ignored lists with people begging you for more! Yay!
Sadly though, it's that or merch em, or heroes. |

This is nothing new, all my 14 characters are mostly mules (and yes they were pve characters at some point).
As of lately I try to not keep everything at heart but just merchant or salvage if any good mods. What Jade said is a very good idea |

I'll gladly take'em off your hands :P
Or you could just go to Ascalon city or something and sell them for slightly more than what the merchant will pay. That's what I used to do with some of my drops from high-end areas. |

If you are not sure of their value, look in the price check forum here on guru.

I did this exact thing last night. I merched about 20 golds that were half decent, but were either not worth my time selling, or would take too long to find a buyer.

Out of curiosity, do people still buy unidentified golds for the Wisdom title?

Yes, the going rate is 4-5k for 7 unid-ed golds, although you can get much more for certain skins and such (Ie, selling unid-ed Chaos Axes, Eternal Bows, yada yada yada. Generally people only want req 9's, or req 10's for VERY rare skins).

Sell them unidentified if you want some $$ for them.
Or ID them, get good mods, trash (merch) the rest. |

you should give them away to new people. set a level cap and give away. The satisfaction youll get from their thanks will be worth more than money. unless your dead poor then merch, except for iron containing stuff salvage those.

POST it on "GIVEAWAY" section there.
I know some people will take almost anything as long as it's free. |

From my own experience, I will say that giving them away in low-level areas is easier than running a giveaway thread in Ventari.
People post to say they want then never show up to claim. At least the newbies take the stuff right away and give you a free inventory space in return. @OP - you need to learn to be very strict with yourself about what you keep. You can end up paying RL cash to add mules (like a lot of us have done). Don't keep something because the mod looks good. Ask yourself if you want to spend your time standing around trying to sell it.

Also, if they are less-than-max or have crap mods, don't give them to Heroes that you want to actually use. You want the Heroes you use to be well equipped . However, unused heroes make good storage spots for weapons. If some of the items are things you don't need, but things you just want to keep (like my dagger collection), consider using a character (slot) as a mule. |
