TexMod problems
Hi,
Doing vanquished title and want to combine it with explorer. But to prevent wasting my time on parts I alrdy scrapped some time ago, I wanted to use TexMod. The problem is that it doesn't work. I got TexMod from guildwars wiki: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/TexMod Same as and Eloian map as .tpf file: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...aphy_Made_Easy I dont know if I just dont understand the program, or that my computer isnt good enough for it, so thought you guys might know whats wrong Let guildwars test my computer, with the following result (please note if you need further screenshot): Here is what i do: I run TexMod Use Package Mode Select gw.exe Select my .tpf file (here an eloian map) Click Run Guildwars starts up Login, select char thats in Elona: No changes. This is screenie of TexMod: I don't know what I should do, never used such programs before. My PC is as far as I know DirectX 9.0 with the latest update, so that should be enough. Please help me out Lucy Gwyneth |

Something similar happened to me before, but I don't believe that it's the problem you're having.
I once loaded the mod for TexMod and used it for a while. Later, I moved the file from its download location to somewhere more organized. When I loaded TexMod, I asked it to load the mod from the previous location where it didn't exist, so I didn't get anything to happen. I don't think this is your problem because I remember the mod description being empty when it was bugged. |

I haven't used those cartography mods in many months, however, I remember horrible problems with the tpf files. You might try re-downloading the file, finding another mirror, or going with one of the alternatives such as red fog.
Test out some other mod with TexMod so you can make sure the problem isn't with TexMod. I suggest something simple like the Aurora which is easily visible without even needing to log in. |

Looks to me like your video card doesn't support directx 9. Many older cards have this issue, and cannot run texmod as a result. You're running a Geforce2 mx 200, which is, if I'm not mistaken, around 7 or eight years old, so it's not capable of processing dx9 properly, even if the software is installed. You'll need to upgrade your video card to run texmod.

Yes it shows that you have dx9.0c installed, but does your graphics card support dx9? GeForce 2 is kinda old so it might not have hardware support for dx9. So look for it on the net. If it doesnt support it you wont be able to use texmod cause it requires graphics with dx9 support.

Think you're right. I tried the RBG_Aurora and the GoldenCharacterEgde and both failed aswell. Guess I'll have to wait for my laptop then

It's your graphics card. Texmod is picky with what graphics cards it will run with. I couldn't use texmod on my old computer for the same reason.
