Dunkoro V.S. Tahlkora - Guild Wars Forums

So I was in a pug getting ready to do a mission. I added my Dunkoro and some guy said to me Dunkoro is not as good of a healer as Tahlkora. I was like wtf are you talking about??

I told him they are both the same (given that both builds are exactly the same). He refused to believe me and continued going on about how Dunkoro will uses more prot skills while Tahlkora tends to use more heal skills. He even claimed that he tested this...

Now, I've been playing for over 3 years now and I've never once heard of such a thing!

Is this guy just retarded or did I miss an update?

The guy is just plain retarded, but when I played my Tahlkora tended to use her skills more wisely than Dunkoro would.

But maybe it's just in my head or ArenaNet did a secret update.

The only reason why I use my Livia as the MM is because I just think she looks hot with all those minions under her control.....kinda like how Angelina Jolie has all those Somalian kids under her control.....yeah.

Dunkoros cooler? My guild goes with Dunk or Ogden for the simple fact that Talkora is wicked annoying. Also, Livia is the healer silly goose.

It doesn't matter whether it is true or not. Players' perceptions are what count.

If the group consensus is that Dunk is better than Tahlkora, the minute things go wrong it will be due to you bringing the wrong hero.

I have heard that Zed is a terrible ele, but that Sousuke knows what he is doing. Goren supposedly can only fight with a hammer. And the hero paragons are not nearly as good as the henchman para.

Then there is the theory that the more you use a hero, the better he/she is at using their skills. Those people feel there is a hero learning curve.

You can argue, but you are wasting your breath. If you want to join the PuG, give in gracefully and bring the hero they want.

I have a personal belief that hero's have the power to learn, to observe, and to turn against us in the future!

Oh wait...that's the plot to I robot....never mind.

However I do lean towards the belief that they CAN learn...Cuz im crazy like that.

Oh yea and @ Darcy.

I don't care how much proof anyone puts against it, Zhed is the 2nd worst AI (next to Alesia) there is. I think it's cuz hes a centaur....yea...I'm racist like that >_> Stupid four legs. Lol

Provided that they're willing to wait for you to switch all the Insignias and Runes - not too many people are going to have all 3 monks set up. (especially not any with the same build.)

My Dunky and Talky are both hybrids - Dunky slightly more heal heavy, Talky slightly more prot heavy. If they had the same build, the only reason they should be different would be if they were set on different modes (one on Guard, the other on Avoid) or if they were runed differently.

BTW old geezers > snobby princesses

1 the programmers wrote separate Ai programs for the 3 healers 3 Necro's etc
or
2 they wrote one program made copies then varied the initial skills slightly.

I've got my Tahlkora set up for Prot & Dunkuro set up a heals. But that's personal preferance. If I switched their builds, runes, insiginas, and weapons there'd be no difference in performance.
