I have the bonus mission pack, and I've made a few discoveries on it before. I made them all on one character and I already turned them in for weapons. I was wondering:

A) What would happen if I destroyed those weapons

B) Is there a way to release the discoveries from that one character so I may be able to use them to gain weapons for a different character.

The idea is, I want the Tengu Healing Staff to use as a high set weapon for my monk, but I already turned in all the discoveries of the Master Togo mission on my dervish.

Any suggestions?

You don't get the completed book thing for just doing the discoveries, you get it for completing the mission. Yes, You can complete the missions again on a different character, but no, you can't get the discoveries again. But you can still get the weapons.

I think that's what you were asking..

Okay, There is the Mission you need to complete, if you complete the mission you can get an Authorized book and can get a weapon, you can complete the mission as many times as you want, thus getting as many weapons as you want for all your characters.

Inside each mission is a "discovery" or a little side quest you can do, there are 3 of them per story and each time you do a "discovery" you get 2500 gold. However you can only do the discovery once for your WHOLE account.

So in conclusion by doing the missions you can get as many of the bmp weapons you want, by doing the discoveries you can get 3x2500gold per story one time on your account.

Actually, each discovery also gives you an extra authorized copy of the story that can be used by any char on your account. You only get the extra copy the first time the discovery is completed on your account.

An extra book does not appear in your inventory when you earn an extra copy, but is kept on file by Durmand until you claim it by talking to him about discoveries. If you make a discovery using one char but want another char to have the extra book, then send the second char to talk to Durmand and claim it. The book will appear in the second char's inventory, customized for that char rather than the one that made the discovery. It is authorized and ready to be traded to the scribe.
