Deathbane Wrapping... Help? - Guild Wars Forums

OK so I don't know if the Deathbane staff wrapping gives me just 20% damage increase against undead on my weapon, or does it give me 20% damage increase against undead for the spirits I create too while holding the wrapped weapon?

Also, depending on the answer to the prior question, would that be better than the communing +1 wrap (11% chance) against undead?

A Deathbane mod only increases the direct damage from the staff, not that from your skills and especially not that of your spirits/minions. It is an absolutely useless mod (as is the other mod you mention as well). I would recommend a staff wrapping of Fortitude or Enchanting depending on your build.

Ouch, lol. Glad I asked. So the enchant wrap... Is that enchants casted on me, or enchants I cast on anyone?

It's the enchants that you cast on anybody while wielding the staff.

Sadly, tmak is right. Otherwise, you would see an insane amount of WTB spams in Kamadan for Deathbane 20% pommels/grips rather than the Enchant 20%.

Though it would be nice if it worked the way the OP stated. My Undead farming would go so much faster...

On second thought, maybe this is why the Deathbane bug was present before this last update? Make it seem like the Deathbane mod was uber, rather than the frustration of yet another rare skin with no inherent dmg bonus/inscription slot? (if only)

deathbane as well as +1(20%) ones are pretty useless, its better to use either a +hp mod or even a 20% enchant mod, depending on what you need more.
