Can a Luxon cap Moebius Strike?
Is there any way for me, a Luxon, to cap Moebius Strike? If not, is there a comparable skill that I should use? Thanks.

You do not have to be Kurzick aligned to do the missions/quests on the Kurzick part of the map. Just follow the mission track to Eternal Grove, do that one and you will be able to enter the explorable and cap the elite.
Your alignment only affects your AB. Whether you have more Luxon faction than Kurzick (or vice versa) affects if merchants etc will speak to you. But you can gain Kurzick faction to meet the 10,000 requirement by doing the quests and farming faction with blessings, just as you did for the Luxon side of the map. The wiki page for the skill explains this http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Moebius_Strike

Lux/Kurz only affects your AB, as Darcy said. You can access any outpost you want, which means Moebius is in reach for you!! Good luck capping it

If you don't want to bother with the 10k Kurzick quest *the biggest issue for capping later elites in the Kurzick/Luxon areas*, you can leave from the Harvest Temple and head west, to the Kurzick Unwaking Waters outpost, and so on, all the way to Eternal Grove, without doing that quest.

That is probably a good option. Elite Sin Tomes are extremely cheap relative to others, might find them for 2k to free if you look hard enough.

My sin, and old warrior, both got into Unwaking Waters on the Luxon side without even touching the Befriending the Luxons quest. Why would the Kurzick side be any different??? I had Kurzick Faction, was in a Kurzick Guild, and didn't do Befriending the Luxons, and was able to get into Unwaking Waters (Luxon) without any problems... |

I did try walking west from Harvest Temple and ended up in the Luxon Unwaking Waters, not the Kurzick UW.
Tell me how tomes work. I can buy a tome and it will let me learn Moebius Strike? |

PvP, or the Zaishen Elite challenge, which is playing on PvP maps against AI opponents.

Allow me to show you the wiki article on Balthazar Faction.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Balthazar_faction All your questions on acquisition can be answered there. Once you acquire 3,000 faction, talk to a Priest of Balthazar, and choose to unlock Moebius Strike. |

So Balthazar factions has to do with PvP which I have never done and truth be told does not appeal to me. So since I have never unlocked Moebius Strike that means a tome will do me no good, right?

If you don't want to PvP, you can do either the Zaishen Challenge to earn 2K/day, or Zaishen Elite for 6K/day. Those are not terribly difficult. You could try to buy a golden flame of balthazar, but everyone is probably using their points for zaishen keys. You could also get tournament reward points from the Xunlai Tournament House. Or, you could just go to Eternal Grove, and being a Luxon will not stop you from doing that. Last edited by MisterB; Oct 13, 2008 at 01:39 AM // 01:39.. |

The NPC's at the entrances to both Unwaking Waters outposts will only let characters in after they have completed the Befriending quest for that outpost. You either remember wrong, or are confused.
