Golem Tonics and Mad King Visit....Ban?
Just by hanging in LA I have already noticed MASS amounts of people using golem tonics and blocking ALL or MOST of the view around the area where the Mad King will appear. Think ANet will address this issue and stop the use of golem tonics during the October 31st events? Granted I know you can't see yourself in the mess of characters anyway but with the golems hanging around you won't be able to see the Mad King....well ....basically at all. You know once people figure this out they will block the views on purpose just to anger others! Any opinions?

You don't need to see the Mad King, there's those little popup chat boxes that appear.
So, no I don't think anet will ban or do anything about the GOLEM tonics during Halloween.

Thread winner. There is how many districts in 3 cities? Yes its annoying and I think that the people should get slapped for being jerks, but its not important. And if you really really want to see the king, then change Districts. |

How about people who've not been in GW in previous years? Just because we've all seen him before doesn't mean that everyone has.

I personally find it scary that someone is wanting BANS for people who are playing the game differently. Sure, it may be playing in a way to annoy other people, but it does not make it impossible or even hard to play the game successfully. Not like it has a Monk joining your PUG as a healer and not healing, or a seller scamming you for 100k for 20 Mursaat Tokens. Wonder how many people are buying stuff to use golem tonics for the event after reading this topic now....... |

Actually, I don't believe I said anything about BANNING the characters at all! Just banning the use of the golem tonics. I do believe ANet stopped the use of golem tonics in AB for the simple reason they are to huge and block everything out. Personally, me, I couldn't give two craps about it. I've seen the Mad King 3 years in a row and yes he says and looks the same. I just like the free stuff too. Doofledust said it best. Just because you are a veteran to the Mad King isn't the point, this could be someone elses first year! Anyhow, I quit using this forum two years ago because it's full of people snapping at you with idiotic answers because they think EVERYBODY else that plays the game is a veteran like them. Like there is no reason to re-ask an old question. Hmm guess I was the fool to bring up a valid point! Have fun I'm out for another two years I suppose! |

All the new tonic forms from the Zaishen chest are large. And the golem ones from there and from the M.O.X. quest are especially annoying. But, hopefully, most of them will be used up before the 31st.
It's usually the newer players who are running around using the tonics. The players who have been playing for a longer time mostly feel it's uncool. They have more fun making fun of the ones using the tonics.
