Scam Report Feature: applicable to running?
So say I'm a runner, and one of my customers refuses to pay up at the agreed-upon point. Can I report him for scamming or will I get banned for misusing the report feature?
Or say I've paid for a run, and after getting paid the runner leaves before completing it. Can I report him for scamming or will I get banned for misusing the report feature? I guess I'm wondering what constitutes a scam. Is it strictly trickery in the trade window or does bucking an honor system also count? |

I think in that situation, you would be better off reporting via email w/screenshots.
As the /report system requires presence in same district, I don't think it is meant to be used in instances. It might not even be available. Scamming is attempting to cheat someone out of something, whether successful or not. Swaps in trade window, drop for photo shoot, pre-paid run dump, refusal to pay for agreed service - all are scams. Each verified report earns a mark on that account. If a player garners enough marks on their account, they will start receiving bans. If reported occurrences continue, the length of the bans increase.

They won't do anything. I've had a same kind of situation. I sent many screenshots of run and our chat discussion via NCsoft website. They answered that "runs" are about trust and they can't do anything.

Anet dosent care about runs, and they dont support it.
You can send them 70 screen shots proving some one scammed you on a run,and they will do-nothing-dont even bother with it. |

getting ran basicly relise on the honor rule- paying when its done. anet wouldnt support you giving a player an a advantage by running them where there character shouldnt be. a great example of this would be going to the ascalon arena and seeing a lvl 9 warrior with 15k glads(or any max armor).

I hope no one uses running as scamming - I can see so many people saying 'running for tips' and then reporting a scammer because they didn't think the tip was enough...
