Account terminated
Right, So I'm just playing the game normally...and I disconnect, try to reconnect and It says my account has been terminated for engaging or assisting with gold or item sales for real world money.
I have NEVER bought or supplied gold or ingame items for real money, and never planned to...so my question is, why has this happened? and what am I meant to do now? I mean, I'm a long playing member of the game who tries to follow the rules and then this happens..It's rather confusing. Thanks in advance for any help you can give Dark |

If you are innocent then contact support. They'll get you straightened out. They're pretty decent about fixing their own screw-ups, but it probably won't happen overnight.

Be sure to have ALL of your game keys handy or they won't do anything until you can provide them.
This has happened to people before, I say don't worry if you truly are innocent you'll be back on in a week or so. They can track every trade you've made and pull up the one/ones in question that raised the red flag, so have an explanation ready for those. |

You don't email anyone yet. Click on the link given; then click on the language and you will be taken to the appropriate support website. Look for "Ask a Question" link.
You then type in your question about your account. You will first receive a "canned" response to which you must reply to get to a real person.

Okay did all that got a reply within minutes,
Hello, Your account was permanently closed because you engaged in the sale of in-game items for cash or other items with real world value, or you engaged in gathering items to be sold for cash or other items with real world value. Both actions are against our User Agreement, where Section 7 states, "You may not sell or auction any Guild Wars accounts, characters, items, coin or copyrighted material, nor may you assist others in doing so." Please keep in mind that Guild Wars is a global game with hundreds of thousands of players. This means that standards of behavior must be upheld. For your convenience, you can obtain more information about our rules at the address listed below. http://www.guildwars.com/support/legal/ Regards, GM Karsen The Guild Wars Support Team Seriously? I have never done anything of the sort, yet I don't have a chance to prove it? |

Just keep emailing. Sometimes they need a bit of pushing before they'll take anything on board. If you're willing to put in the effort to get your account back they're more likely to listen to you.
Can you think of anything that's come up where you've transferred a lot of money, or have received a lot of money/items? |

There's nothing we can do for you here at Guru, and any sort of effort to search about getting banned would show that we close all threads like this. If you want to argue about whether your ban was justified or not, contact Guild Wars support.
