Mesmer Second Profession - Guild Wars Forums

I play elementalist as my primary but don't know where to go to gain mesmer as my second profession. Any answers out there?

Assuming you mean for pve... /necro is nice for [necrosis], it's what i usually go with.
or /ele for [glyph of lesser energy] if you're using a bunch of high energy spells

to above poster I think he's asking where he can get mesmer as secondary

and the answer is:
Prophecies: Quest in crystal desert, think in thirty river is npc
NF: Profession changer in command post outside sunspear sanctuary
Factions: Profession changer in senji's corner

or see profession changer in great temple of balthazar

We need more info:

Are you just starting a new character? (if so, the first 2 responses don't apply.)
If you're starting a new character, it depends on which campaign you're in. In Propecies, talk to Armin Saberlain in Ascalon City (pre-searing), he'll guide you to the NPC you need to talk to. In Nightfall, once you hit level 5, you'll have access to a quest that has gives you the chance to talk to all of the different profession trainers & you can choose Mesmer then. In factions...Follow the story line/Primary quests, paying attention to what the various NPC's say/

If ur a brand new character, then do the story line. Eventually youll get told to pick a secondary, and you do it (Lady Althea in Pre, The Mesmer headmaster in SHing Jea, and First Spear Jehdah (I think thats his name) in kamadan.

If not, then once you ascend (Augury Rock (Tyria), Nahpui Quarter (Cantha), Hunted! (Elona) you can talk to character changers to do it. Character changers are found around the crystal desert, balth temple, senjis corner and in the command post.
