Hi!

I'm taking up Guild Wars tomorrow, and I'm just wondering which character deals the most damage in PVP, and also which one deals the most damage in PVE.

Warrior does the most raw damage, but damage isn't really what this game is about. It's a little more strategic than that. Each class has it's bonuses. Try a few out instead of going for the easy option of MOAR DMGZ PLZ.

PvP is team play and your character's skill build needs to sync with other team members.

PvE is mostly team play (even if its heroes and henchmen) and your skill build needs to sync with other team members.

As Pamelf said, "Damage" is not the name of the game in GW. It can be more important to bring a skill that neutralizes the foe.

If you only have one campaign, then you will have 4 character slots with no penalty for deleting and starting over. Try out the different professions until you find one that excites you.

i agree wit warrior
but if ur only pickin up proph only...
ur war mite be a bit gimped for dmg compared to those that have all campaigns

@snaek - Nope, it goes like this

1 Campaign on account = 4 slots
2 Campaigns on account = 6 slots
3 Campaigns on account = 8 slots

I'd vote ele as well, it's way too easy to negate the warr's damage by blinding them, kiting, or whatever. That being said, a good team build is better than any class, there really is no class that can't be shut down by something or other. Warr's (and other melee like derv, sin) can be shut down by blind, energy denial, arenaline denile. Caster classes like ele, monk can be shut down by mesmers or ranger interrupts and e-denial. You get 4 slots. Try everything.
