I just want to know if there is a list of rare items somewhere in guru.

To answer your question:
Not as such, but we do have some price guides (some outdated I'm afraid - check the dates) here.
Another good place to look is in the High-end section. Since rare items are sure to fetch a high price, this is where they will be offered up for sale.

You might also wish to better define what you are looking for in regards to "rare items"

Technically any "Gold" item is rare.
There are however different levels of rare when it comes to availibility in game to acquire certain items.

it depends on what "item" your looking for. Mini's, golds, greens, armor, crafting, ect.... if you use forum search on what particular type of rare your looking for i bet it will pop up.

Well, I too would like a simple list of "keepers". I have looked at the price check forums, but it's very hard to form an actual list. You see lots of old threads and conflicting info.

So, could someone provide a current list of:
-items that have a reasonable value regardless of requirements (it would seem emerald edges, celestial compasses and similar fit this cathegory)
-items that have a value if they have perfect requirements

That way, we who don't regularly trade would know what to merch instantly and what to keep to try and sell.
