Ranger Heal...
I haven't played in a long time but when i played in the past few days i liked my build but i found out i can make it better if i didn't wasting 11 attribute points on troll Unguent so any one know of a good ranger heal without wasting a lot of attribute points?

Nah, that's pretty much the only ranger heal worth while, but when you say you're "wasting 11 attribute points," do you mean you have 11 wilderness survival when Troll Unguent is the only WS skill you use? If that's the case, you shouldn't pack so much into Wilderness Survival. In fact, in PvE, I rarely carry TU. With decent heroes, you just don't need it very much, and when I do carry it, I put very little into wilderness survival.
Long story short, Troll Unguent is pretty much the best (least crappy, rather) healing skill in the ranger line whether you like it or not. |

If you are talking about pve then apollo is correct. If you are only specing into WS because of troll then drop the heal. As someone on the forums once mention, do not think of it as loosing a self heal but gaining another skill slot in which you can preform whatever role you are intended, and thus make the job of your healer better. [I.E there are a ton of pve skills that would be great.]
The only decent self heal that I can think of with out any spec is [restful breeze] but you will have to go monk secondary and cannot use a skill. But my first opnion still stands, drop the selfheal |

If your secondary is Monk you can simply use [[Healing Breeze] instead of [[Troll Unguent]. It doesn't take many points in Healing Prayers (just leftovers). Even then, it's really only for emergencies like when the group's healers (whether human, hero, or hench) are out of energy or dead - you should mostly rely on the healers.
If your secondary is not Monk, you can still use TU, just don't put so many points in WS - TU (like the HB) doesn't need to be maxed out to be effective. Just a few leftover points will do. Last edited by Quaker; Dec 23, 2008 at 08:34 PM // 20:34.. |

Even taking Troll, you don't need 11 WS. At 11 WS, you'd be getting +8 health regen, but you also get that at 10 attribute points. Dropping down to 4 attribute points gets you +5 regen, and cen be gotten with 3+minor rune.
Not sure why you feel a need for such a high health regen, especially when it is a slow activation anyway. I'd recommend staying with Troll Unguent for the self heal, but not spending so many attribute points on it. Regen isn't really a heal, but the regen is worth having to support your teams healer(s) depending on what you are doing. Even wanting a heftier regen, you can get by with far less than 11 and be effective with it. Lastly, this should be asked in the Ranger forum for more discussion |

try using a defensive skill like whirling defense or lightning reflexes to prevent damage to yourself. assuming you are bringing a healer with you in your adventuring, this is usually sufficient.

the typical ranger shouldnt need a heal. stick to stances. with 100 elemental defense, and 50%-75% block, you should be the healthiest target. rangers are very durable.
try something like this i guess: [apply poison][savage shot][distracting shot][burning arrow][screaming shot][lightning reflexes][natural stride][res sig] 11 + 3 expertise (major rune and headpiece) 10 + 1 WS 11 + 1 Bow skillz the above build is very basic but effective for most areas. the first 4 skills are the staple, the last 4 are interchangeable |
