How can I be a pro in guild wars?
First of all can someone explain to me the following:
Can I sell armor/weapons/insignias from the color purple to white to the merchant to get fast cash? Because, I think I might of sold some white colored armor/weapons/insignias that are worth a lot to somebody. Is there a general rule of thumb when placing skills in the skill bar? For example, in the assassin case you need 4 attack based skills 2 defensive skills and 2 slots for others (made up). In another way of saying is there a layout in particular I should follow? At the moment my skills are unsuspecting strike, wild strike, death blossom, flashing blades, critical agility, Charm animal, Shadow step, Viper's defense. I will get moebius strike and will replace flashing blades in its place. Lastly how do i become pro at guild wars. |

Whites merch them , Purples Golds use your ID Kit on them to see what mods are on them , Greens keep , check the Guru Price Check forums to see if they are worth anything , Skills are whatever order you want them to be , some DO need to be in order for example a Sin need Lead-Off-Dual to get the full effect from attacks , and to be Pro...devote a large portion of your life to GW and it will all come together

Skills can go in any order that makes sense to you. I personally start with offensive skills and then move to the more defensive, ending with res (if taken) on the vast majority of my bars. I've seen plenty of others that have themm the other way round. And some that seem to be random. Most important thing is that you know which skill is where at any time.
As for the pro... technically if you're not going to get paid for it you won't be pro. If you mean get good at the game, then play lots, read lots, try stuff out and learn from your mistakes. |

to be pro at gw, u have to understand gw
physicals tend to do the most dmg due to constant dps and armor ignoring dmg therefore, nearly all skills on ur build should support this method of dealing dmg (good choice of attack skills, ias, ims, self-buffs) u may think vipers defense is good, because it poisons for more dmg potential but it actually takes away from ur main source of dmg which is not good (plus many monsters in pve r immune to poison anyways) energy management is important if u dun have the energy to use ur skills, then its pointless radiant armor =/= energy management critical strikes and a good selection of attack skills should be sufficient, with a set of zealous daggers as a secondary set (and in some cases, primary set) since u do not need radiants...this means u can use survivors for more health that is generally all u need for defense as a frontline let ur midline/backline handle keeping u alive...u worry bout keepin monsters dead which then leads into good synergy with ur teamates builds midline is better off multiplying (supporting) the dmg their frontline does, then soloing off and running a nuker build and it goes on and on, but i'll stop here of course in pvp things r different but lets save that for another thread wiki.guildwars.com pvxwiki.com |

To be pro, learn game mechanics and make use of the wikis. Asking a question that can be easily looked up there would attract trolls.

identify everything, including whites, often just by IDing a white you can get up to +30 gold from the merchant for it, try it, get a quote for a non-ided white, id it, it will be worth more.
cash does NOT = pro pro = helpful, knowledgable and generally a good player as far as i am concerned. |

To the OP:
Don't worry about becoming a pro, we all become noobs again after every skill update. ;p Seriously though, taking the time to play through the game and become familiar with mechanics and things is going to be your best bet. And yes, wiki (both unofficial and official) have tons of information. Welcome and good luck! |

understanding how to play the game well = pro imo. like others have said don't worry about it too much it should come with time.
as for the build there isn't really any rule of thumb for builds like that but all frontliners should have an ias, and an ims isnt always necessary but is very useful. Also. charm animal on a sin is bad. vipers defense isn't that good either. |
