Why would p-eople want to know this? it has no relevance to playing the game. If eople want to be stupid enough to spend real money for pixels, then they deserve whatever happens.
Also, if you are asking questions to anet, Id suggest support is the place to go - I am pretty sure you wouldnt get an answer though. |

You know that no GW player ever bought stuff with real money. Look at the many posts proclaiming innocence. It's all made up by the big bad company.

Thousands a week is what they have said several times about this. I'm guessing that they do not include the thousands a week they ban in their 5 million sales number, so do some guess work at when they started banning thousands a week, how many weeks it is, and then use 5 million to get your percent.
Pointless to know this unless you want to see if you have a chance of getting away with buying gold yourself. |

Well that seems quite lucrative. I am sure they they just buy new accounts and get 2 accounts for doing so.
How, Buddy keys are good for traders. They wait 24 hours and that toon is as good as gold to them. The criminal minds are fantastic. Just look what happened to Hartford. they handle over 1 MILLION Debit/Credit transactions a MONTH! They got HACKED 9 months ago. YES nice months ago. It took the Secret Service to find the hack! As a result over 2 MILLION debit and credit cards have to be replaced. If the US financial sector can get hacked like that, GW has no chance. There will always be people breaking the rules. Adam and Eve did it so who cares how many? Anet makes money at it. This means that the game stays FREE. one account banned every 10 minutes is 3 bucks a minute. In an 8 hour day that's 1,440 bucks. Over the course of a year that's a whopping 75,000 real dollars. If there are 3 people working on it in rotations to cover the 24 hour clock that is almost a quarter of a million dollars a year. Now that is nothing to sneeze about. So the more GW talks about guild was gold traders the more our superego tells our id to get self moving and buy some gold! Its all in our heads but it about the danger of and thrill of not getting caught. Its just very sound business. Spock would say, Logical. |
