Healing Seed skill...am i reading this wrong?
So Im not sure if this is the correct area to put this. I have noticed that the skill Healing Seed doesnt seem to be working the way I am reading the definition. The definition says that "for 10 seconds, whenever target other ally takes damage, that ally and all adjacent allies gain XX health." So I take this to mean that it should work the same way Seed of Life does since the description is the same (barring the amount of allies healed), However when I use this skill it only heals one time in that 10 seconds, not whenever damage is taken during that 10 seconds. So my question is, is this a bug with the skill that its not working correctly, or is my understanding of or the decription faulty? And if it is my understanding of how the skill works, then why do the two skills have the same definition and same recharge time?

Are you sure the target is actually taking damage and not losing health?

"Adjacent allies" is pretty close range so it works well if you are healing closely packed melee.
If you use it on a warrior who is standing in a Fire Storm, that warrior will be healed for the stated amount each time he is damaged, and so is his adjacent allies. |

Are you sure it's not getting stripped? Where are you using it?

Seed's fine Dragon - heals only those really close to who you slap it on - only when they take damage obviously (life steal does not count) . Multi mellee group is what it's for - also works on minions as well.

i wasnt talking about the extra ally heals. ignore that. i was talking about the person its laid on. However we have figured this out. once i lay this skill on the tank i can only see the initial heal tho the tank can see the rest of them. so its seeming that there is a bug here. we are also hearing of tanks and others who are not seeing the healing numbers off of seed of life either. so there is something in the display about monk blue numbers that is glitching, either for the monk, or the ones getting healed. and btw, im not the only monk in my alliance this is happening to either. and it doesnt matter where we are in the game. we tested this in isle of the nameless and it still is happening.
So close thread. im moving this to the bugs threads. |

the initial "heal" you are probably seeing is the divine favour bonus. i do not think it is a bug; you should not be able to see the healing done for each trigger because you are not doing the healing, the skill is. the ui should trigger similar to how [vigorous spirit] does. (i could be wrong though)
technically [seed of life] should work the same; however i think the way they programmed it, it was easiest to make it work as a party heal, and so that is why the monk will see all ui triggers for the skill. Last edited by snaek; Mar 07, 2009 at 12:54 AM // 00:54.. |
