Legendary Survivor
I made a paragon two days ago and decided I wanted survivor, so I did the usual ferry to LA, reach level 10, punch out until level 20.
Now, I think I want to go for legendary but I'm now sure how to do that. I know I could do the punch out, but i'd have to do 133 runs or something, 10 minutes a run tops... thats a looong time. Any suggestions for a faster more efficient way of getting the title? I know I saw someone post something about using 3 monk heroes here on guru, claiming you could get r3 in about an hour and a half, but I've looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find that thread. I'm not asking for builds! Thank you in Advance |

It's not long, just buy those cheap scrolls from the merchant, like the very cheapest one. It took me 9 hours, and I think 10-20K? Not sure. And each run is more like 6 mins.
That link above seems faster though, but I did mine as rit so woudn't have been able to use that. Last edited by Nature Loves Me; Mar 09, 2009 at 04:47 PM // 16:47.. |

if u do that super fast method i suggest u practice on a non-survivor char first. don't want to die from an inexperienced mistake =)

I got mine in a few hours....scrolls, some cons and HM...easy peasy. But beware of the dreaded lag and dont forget if you get nervous about the HM you can NM or map out when it gets crazy.

If you look in the ventari section for services I am also offering a Legendary Survivor run. You can read the criteria there for my run as well as the payments

I just did legendary survivor on a warrior after screwing up my first try I figured out some neat tricks to do it smoother.
1. Check different servers for the best ping etc. not too surprising I got best ping in europe because I live here. And allways be aware of your connection, if it gets red, hold back and wait and see if it gets green again. If it jumps alot to red, consider changing server or not level at the moment. 2. Try assisting kilroy, though you dont have to follow him, dont wait for him to come after you etc. But some times it pays of to let him die, so you have better time building adrenalin and getting healing. 3. When you get to where all the rangers are in the tunnel, pull the two carvers at the door fast, then kill 1 of them, pull 1 of the carvers which walks in the tunnel, kill 1 carver again and pull the last walker in the tunnel then kill those two. When entering tunnel kill the carver on left hand, unless you get enough adrenalin to smack the ranger on left before taking down the carver which runs towards you, basicly after that just go nuts in the tunnel. *note pulling the carvers when they walk requires some timing and practice though, I came to the tunnel almost perfect everytime, luck or skill who cares, but you dont have to wait for them, it is possible to just go nuts and spank the whole tunnel without dying, though sometimes you get knocked out a couple times. 4. When you get to the fighting "ring" I tried never to have more than 3 on me at the time, 3 is hard enough in HM especially if you are short on adrenalin. 5. I spammed 1, 3 sometimes 2 when low on adrenalin. Allways use 7 when it gets up, ofc not on low hp mobs unless neccessary. And I allways hit 5 when it got up. On the 1st boss spam interrupt and knockdown as much as you can. 6. Last but not least, bind 8 9 and 0 to the 8th skill. Good luck and have fun |

Thank you all so much
I'll be sure to try the "super-fast" one on a different character first. Thank you again |

Just keep doing the Dwarven boxing if you want to go Legendary. It's probably the least risky way of getting the title and it also is quite fast. (Yes, it still takes quite some time, but it is not called Legendary for nothing.)

and istead of buying LB scrolls buy two scrolls 250% for 5 minutes. Gives the exactly the same ammount of experience as LB scrolls (they must been bugged) and U R 800gp richer.

I started a thread asking if a failure couns as a death so it might need some testing first. But for that it works best with sin or monk. To be safe I'd go roj monk unless u have aguild that will take u along for the run. |
