Conjure Flame works for Wands?
Conjure Flame
Enchantment Spell. For 60 seconds, if you're wielding a fire weapon, your attacks strike for an additional 17 fire damage. I wanted to check that "weapon" includes wands and staves in this context. So that this enchantment can turn my 11-22 fire damage wand into a 27-39 fire damage wand (before the 20% of 11-22 due to customization). If that's the case, it might be worth getting rid of Flare. |

I don't think the quick fix is augmenting your wand's strength while simultaneously spamming flare. The problem itself is that flare is on your bar. Go E/A AP promise and your damage problems will be solved.

Aura of Resto and Fire Attunement should be very good energy management for and easy spam of flare.

It works, but it's not very effective.

If you want to get a proper solution instead of a band-aid solution like this, post your entire build and we can find whats wrong with it. Generally with Ele builds, you'll want to get your build to a point where Flare isn't pulling its weight, and if it does in your build theres probably something we can fix.

i belive that conjure does work with wand and staffs, but tbh i fail to see a reason to waste a skill slot just to wand mobs and a nother skill slot so u can spam flare, stop auto atacking or spamming flare, use your other big damage skills insted ,like MisterT69 posted that build it's preety much auto win.

Yes it would work but its probably not worth it.
At first it seems that a spellcaster using a wand or staff to fire at enemies like any other ranged weapon is the way to go. Otherwise why are they in the game hey Im a wizard I use wands right ? Wrong You can be far more efficient and make kills faster by using skills not weapons. Its also why many spellcasters use melee weapons and shields, not for attacking with but because they are using the energy health and defence bonuses they give. Its all wrong but sadly its the way the game mechanics work, any competent group of mages would have created decent wands and staffs years ago. Where oh where is the wand of fireballs or the staff of the magi that I used and loved when I played D&D |

I don't play eles very often, but i do know that the conjures are more effective for classes that are able to use it with their skills. There's the Conjure wars, rangers, sins, and dervs. As a previous poster stated, an ele with Assassins Promise and the set of PvE skills will probably make a huge diffrence in terms of damage. But really, YOU decide what skills you run, if you like flare, bring it, that's why you're able to re-roll your skillbar with a couple of clicks. |

If you have decent damage skills on your bar already (NOT [flare]), and room for some more skills, [conjure flame] is decent SUPPORT damage. Don't base a build around it, but if you have a slot or 2 empty with no skills to use, this can work. Just don't expect this to be major damage. I'd also consider [mark of rodgort] if you expect to be wanding.

Hi papaschtroumpf, while conjure flame is an elementalist skill it isn't designed to be used on eles. The answer to your question is yes, it works with your wand however as already been said it's not worth it.
Keep in mind that in GW some primary skills are not meant to be used by the primary profession itself. That's why characters have a primary and secondary profession. Skill combinations with 2 professions is the key to good builds. |
