Directsong.com troubles
3 days ago, I purchased the Guild Wars Special Edition Soundtrack. When I tried to play it in Windows Media Player, I received a notice that said: You have 0 permanent machine licenses available.
You have 0 temporary (8 hour) lease licenses available. I've done everything that the website's technical support section said to do (e.g., updating software, checking cookies). I even sent a note asking as to what the problem could be and how I should fix it. I haven't heard a daggone thing from them and I'm starting to get very upset. I spent my $5.99 on 67 minutes of good music and the files won't even play for me - not to mention that the site has practically taken my money and run off with it. One thing I should mention, however, is that I can't find the Directsong folder that they say is supposed to exist in my computer. Is this because I don't have Guild Wars installed on my computer or is this just something that's happening to everyone else? Can someone please help me save my $5.99 from being wasted? |

I would advise sending an email to them requesting more installs. Lately it has taken almost a month for them to give you more installs but they will. You will not recieve a notice letting you know there are more installs. Check out this forum.

I would get in touch with your credit card/debit company and have them cancel the charges. The company is no longer supporting their product and doesn't respond to any emails sent to them. They are basically now just taking money from people. Visa has zero risk on internet commerce, so if you used Visa you will get it back. I had similar issues ordering from a company that was out of business but still takin money from people, the total purchase was back in my bank account the next day, after talking to the legal department of the card holder. They gave the company 24 hours to respond to their phone/emails before legal action was taken against them.
You an also search google to find ways of removing DRM, so you can use what you purchased. |
