stick with a warrior. they have one of the highest armor in the game, easiest general PvE skill bars and they deal moderate damage. its good for a start until you start to get nicely familiarized with the game.

Warrior or Ranger but id stick with the warrior too. Play all of them tho until you find one you like best. I went through all the classes and finally made up my mind months after I first started playing on which classes are my favorite. Good Luck and have fun!

Either Warrior or Ranger. Depends, if you are a melee-style sword-slashing axe-hacking hammer-smashing type of person, go ahead, warrior is for you. But if you feel that you're more of a far-range bow-shooting mid-liner, so go Ranger.

Try all of them. I've been playing over two years and I still can't figure out which class I prefer. But since you have Prophecies, I'd recommend a Necromancer or Ranger. Both are highly versatile and can be played may different ways. Also, they're easier to find groups to play missions with. Most groups won't let you in as a Mesmer unless you really know what you're doing.

I found myself being a big fan of all squishy magic classes. They seem more fun to play.
Monks are my faves tough. If you play them a lot, you may find out how inherently overpowered they are. How can a tiny girl be overpowered? Well: Every single team ever created has at least one and most of the time two. Mandatory. However, inexperienced monks are subject to scrorn by other players demanding immortality, so be warned. |

Definitely not a Mesmer like I did. Hard but worth it when you get it.

It really depends on you, my first char was a warrior and I hated it, then I had a go as a Necro and loved it

Elementalist and ranger feels the easiest to me.
Comes down to what you like tho. I've played every class in pretty much every scenario and for me, its either monk or warrior, anything else feels boring and sluggish to me |

Rangers, theyre the most flexible class I know
R/W > Hammer / Pet R/Rt > Splinter Barrage =) R/A > Fang of Melandru R/D > Scytheway R/P > Spear / Pet |
