zaishen mission bounty time requierment - Guild Wars Forums

Today's zaishen mission is nahpui quarter. The first bonus was to finish the mission in 25 minutes. My competion time was 34 minutes, in hard mode. After the mission, the quest log entry had a line through that bonus showing that it had been completed. That was the only time that I did the mission. I received the zaishen coins for that bonus. Why did I get credit for a bonus that I didn't complete?

Because that bonus (or at least it should) says to complete it in 25 minutes in NM OR complete under 40 in hard mode (that is what the previous Factions mission z-quest said, I assume that's what this one said, it may have just been a typo). You just have to do one or the other.

Basically, you just have to get masters in the mission in either hard mode or normal mode.

Since HM is harder, all of the bonuses in Faction's timed missions are longer in HM (to compensate for the more difficult enemies).

Probably, because 25 min time is master for Normal mode, and 40 minute is for hard mode. You were doing hard mode for masters reward, maybe thats why.

The "...or 40 minutes in HM" clause isn't on the quest.

Yeah, it isn't. But it's possible to finish it in <25 mins anyway, even in HM.

But ANet would never expect you to do better than the normal HM requirements for a Zaishen quest.

To get the HM bonus, you only have to finish. You do not have to do it on master.

lol. Yea a couple of people in my guild noticed that too. I did it in 24 mins with a PUG in HM. Was pleasantly surprised at their aptness. 40 min is absurd for masters in Nahpui. Easily done in 30. Not that I'm complaining that it's easy to get, I just don't know what Anet was thinking.

I missread it also. Assumed I had to get masters in HM for the Bonus.. Luckily I got through in 20:12.

Although doing the mission in NM for the bonus and then again for the HM bonus would have been worse..
