Noob Question....
Ok I just downloaded the trilogy and I'm starting with the first one, "Prophecies" Im about level 3 Warrior/Monk and I was wondering after I finish this game, will I be able to play the other chapters with the same account? Also are there different profession offered in these chapters, if so, can I use those 2 including the 2 I have now from Prophecies? Sorry I am kinda new to this. Thanks

Yes, you can. You can port your character over to the other campaigns once you reach Lion's Arch - there are quests that'll let you get to Kaineng City in Factions and Kamadan in Nightfall.
And yes, you can create a character with any profession you want. Factions has Ritualists and Assassins, which can only be created in Factions, and NF has Dervish and Paragon as campaign-specific. You can switch your Warrior's secondary later in the game to anything you want - and that includes professions from Factions and NF. |

I love factions, but prophecies remains the king in my opinion. But the two are very different from each other. For example, bonus objectives are time based in factions, while in prophecies they are awarded when you complete a specific task.

Yeah asking which is the best chapter is opening a can of worms :P
Everyone tends to like the one they started with though. Personally, you can't beat Factions. |

Any answer will be pretty subjective, but here goes -
I personally find Prophecies the one with the best learning curve, although - as has been said by people many times before - it's slow. In Factions and NF, you're supposed to be level 20 as soon as you step off starter island. Furthermore, Prophecies is the one with skill quests, but it has problems like late attribute point quests, obtainable only from the campaign you created the character in - and in Prophecies, which you only get late game. Everyone should experience Pre-Sear at least once, though. I'm not a fan of Factions myself, although it can be completed fast, and it's good for skills - that, and you have to start in it if you want a 'sin or a rit. NF... I like NF the best, mostly because it's my favourite storyline. It's got heroes, but if you haven't got much unlocked I doubt you'll be able to do much with them. They're very handy after you have more skills unlocked, though. (You only need to have the skill on one character to get it unlocked account-wide, or you can purchase it using Balthazar Faction, which you probably don't have anyway.) I personally found it harder than Tyria or Cantha late-game, but that's just me. By the time you get to the end, you should have learnt something anyway. Note that this only applies for character creation if you're thinking of making a core profession - you don't have that choice for non-core. Note that you can complete all the campaigns on one character, regardless of which campaign they came from. |

Someone already mentioned earlier that bonuses in Factions were completed by speed - many of the missions are fast, and take <30 mins. There are also 13 missions total - one of them is along a split path (you take either Kurzick side for Eternal Grove or Luxon for Gyala Hatchery, but you can always return later to do the other one) - so you only have to complete 12 missions to finish the game assuming your character's Factions. If you ported your character over from another campaign, cut that down to 10.
So you can get through the whole thing at top speed. The other two campaigns have additional objectives: Prophecies has Mission (which you need to get to the next stage, and which can still take rather long) + Bonus (additional objective for extra rewards). Factions doesn't have these additional objectives, it simply has a time limit. You complete X mission under Y amount of time, and you get extra rewards, and most of the missions, like I said, can be completed fairly quickly. Nightfall and Prophecies have more missions, and IMO the missions take longer. |

I prefer the Factions tutorial area, but overall I'd go NF.

Prophecies has the easiest learning curve, and IMO the most enjoyable and interesting storyline.
Factions is fast, bonus objectives for missions are speed based, the campaign has few missions compared to the others, if you count out Dwarven Boxing in EOTN, its the fastest campaign to level in. Nightfall is the middle of the road option, it also has Heroes, which are common place in most parties. Personally, i would recommend prophecies, Although, Nightfall may be a betteroption in the end. |

Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish and Paragon are campaign specific professions. I suggest that you shouldn't worry about those now. Try playing your warrior and enjoy it. Also, don't forget you can delete characters!
