Trying to get to first spear. - Guild Wars Forums

I have done eery quest I can find but I STILL don't have enough points to advance to first spear! Any help?

Get the blessing from the res shrines and go kill stuff.

best thing to do is to go outside jokanur diggings into fahranur, take the bounty and kill all the skale around that area... right round the corner is a square with a load of them in, only takes a few runs to get to first spear usually.

Do quests and missions. Take the bounty at every shrine you come across. If you do that from the beginning of the game, the odds of not being rank 6 before you step out of Istan are very tiny.

go into zehlon reach, theres alot of quests around there, if you've done them. Then grab the bounties and kill stuff. This is the reason why i hate starting chars in nightfall. Always run out of quests.

Wow, you hate something? In a video game?

If you'd just have taken every bounty form every shrine you would have encountered, would've been First Spear before you even got to take that quest.

yeah you get there REALLY fast. Maybe he didnt' know though. It's not like the shrine people are saying "Hey, over here! DOUBLE XP!"

Bounties are FTW. Even when I'm just helping out Guildies or Alliance mates in NF/EotN I always hit the Bounty-givers. It helps out loads.

...except that all of the shrine keepers have a quest marker until you talk to one of them - who then explains the bounty system. IIRC, the rank officer in the Sunspear Great Hall also explains things to you.
