Afaik the only widely used legal (that ANet won't ban you for) is Texmod. Basically it just allows you to change the texture of an object. For example, you can make an apple shiny and blue but you can't make another apple or change it into a banana. Has some practacle uses though, such as cartography tools.
Theres a bunch on the official wiki (which I would assume are safe), and there are probably a bunch floating around on random websites. Can't guarantee the safety of those mods though. If you're not sure, post and find out. You don't want to risk getting some kind of computer crashing software or banned for using an illegal mod.

What about ksmod? can you get banned for using?
Ps. ksmod makes other peoples armours in towns/outposts high res, same as your own so they don't look all blurry and horrible Pps. Search in wiki or here even, I'm certain there are topics on texmod and ksmod, those are the only 2 I've used, texmod is a must if doing cartographer, without it, cart. title will drive you insane, especially in Cantha. I'm of the opinion that people who say they got cartographer without texmod are lying Last edited by Zebideedee; May 25, 2009 at 11:47 AM // 11:47.. |

KS Mod is great, used it for a really long time, course it goes without saying it does tend to strain your System a bit more if you don't have a semi decent rig... but it's well worth not having scruffy textures! |

Lol, asky my guildies about the 12hrs I spent one day looking for the last 0.8% of Tyria, I'm sure they got tired of seeing my crap. I also did Elona without texmod. I'll admit I used texmod on Cantha tho to find the last +/-2%.

If you start scraping from the start 100% is simple. I've fully explored 6 continents, and by scraping from the start I've done them all without texmod or having to revisit a single area.
