Alliance Switching
I'm currently in a Kurzick guild, but our Guild leader wants to switch to Luxon so we can start farming for those titles. We don't want to reform the guild because it's a completely full hall and lots of good memories.
We need a definitive answer, is it possible to switch from a Kurzick to a Luxon alliance without having to completely remake the guild? |

Yes, it is possible and easy. I did it about a month ago. It will cost the leader some gold, but not much.

But, just like was mentioned above and stated on the linked page, your guild must not be in an alliance before you can do this. Shane |

I think you are asking if you lose all the NPCs in your guild hall. The answer is no you don't. Our Guild switched from Kurzick to Luxon last year for the saem reason. In fact, we change Guild Halls on a regular basis. At no time do you loose the NPCs you paid so much to get.
One other note, but sure to let your members know before you switch. If you are established they all probably have 60k+ Kurizick limits with something in them. Give them the chance to cash in their remaining faction. The last thing you want to do is upset the Guild be sending them to a 10k+ limit Luxon prison when they had 40k in Kurzick faction waiting to donate. My advice is to keep friends with someone who still is Kurzick, and let your Guildies guest invite so they can get skills or stones after the move if they were AFK. |

Yeah, the situation is that we're the alliance leaders, so we were thinking we would need to kick all the other guilds out (after informing them whats going on) and then talk to someone in Cavalon about switching alliances. More a question of whether that was possible or not to switch alliances with a guild, or if we'd just have to remake our guild from scratch to do it.
For some reason I'd always thought that it was a permanent thing, though I'd never looked into it. Thanks guys for all your help! |
