CoP Stacking?
First of all, I'm very grateful to A-net that CoP is not a hex. Mainly because I can still use it with VoR for even more dmg. But I want to know if multiple copies of CoP will stack their degen. I've tested it solo with an echoed copy, and it doesn't appear to be so. However, perhaps it works with a team mates copy, sort of like assassin's promise. It would be kinda cool to give a theoretical 40 degen to a mob.

No. That's the point of this update, to allow one or two people to bring it and still be effective without allowing an entire team to abuse it in speed clears (which they can still do, just much slower).

here are my thoughts.
2 Max CoP causes -10 degen, which is the max that can be applied to ally or foe. in theory anything more than that is waste, however consider this.. if there is a regen healer in the mob or a dervish with mystic regeneration then more CoP could be useful. 4 CoP would apply a theoretical -20 degen (max stats) so this would negate most enemy healer Regeneration abilitys keeping the foe at -10 degen or therebouts. Also, with the degen not being a hex or condition can it be stripped? has anyone witnessed this occuring? Last edited by KemikalRx; Jun 19, 2009 at 04:01 PM // 16:01.. No it doesn't stack. Everyone has the same degen but it just refreshes everytime you cast it.

Thanks for the info.
So I think it will be Goodbye Mesmers, Hello Rits in elite PUGs now . I don't know if Mesmers had quite their deserved 15 minutes of fame after such an abysmal first couple PVE years, but it was fun while it lasted. |

Correction, it's a goodbye to cryway. And cryway never had much to do with mesmers, as any class could run it.
