Don't worry about losing the starter armor; its AR level is incredibly low and--I think--you can't add runes or insignias to it. As for the superior Soul Reaping rune, you did lose it, as it wasn't salvaged out. Lastly, you can buy a Minor Vigor rune from a [Rune Trader] NPC or another player, or by finding one off an I'Ded blue-colored salvage item.

If you have Nightfall, you can easily obtain a free Minor Vigor rune from an early quest in Kamadan.

Well, if you simply added the Major over the Sup, then yes, the Sup is gone. It's not a big loss though - it only costs 200g to buy one, and you'd only get 100g to sell it (to a rune trader).

As the other guys said, you can remove a Rune or Insignia by using an Expert (or Superior) Salvage kit, but you run the risk of destroying your armor, so that's not a good idea. However, most runes and insignias are cheap enough that you can afford to just write over them.

You can also use a Perfect Salvage Kit to remove a rune/insignia without destroying the armor, but they are expensive. It would be a waste to use a PSK at 200g+ per use, to remove a rune that only costs 100g to buy (and which you only get 25g for if you sell it to the trader.

Runes and Insignias, including Minor Vigor can be bought and sold at a [rune] trader. In Ascalon City, that would be an NPC called Sheel. There could also be a rune trader in your Guild Hall if someone in your guild sprung for it.

I don't know if this helps, but, when you visit a rune trader, it automatically displays the runes & Insignias which apply to your profession. But, along the top portion of the display window, there is a series of round buttons with symbols for each class. You can click on any of these to see the runes for other classes. The button on the far right is blank - it covers the runes and insignias, such as Vigor and Survivor, that are available to all classes. The Minor Vigor should be listed there unless the trader is out of stock (not likely).

When you activate a rune trader, the first page you see will be that of your primary profession. The tab to the very right is for generic runes/insignias, which anyone can equip.
