Pvp - rp
Hello,
I'll create my first character but i have a question about game modes (RP - PVP). I guess for PVP mode i should play RP mode and unlock skills etc. So first i should complete RP mode then create PVP character. Question is "for rp mode should i choose PVE build". Are players creating pve characters in RP mode first and when they become level 20, they create PVP character in PVP mode (pvp build based) and play in PVP mode? Or can i continue to play in RP mode when i become level 20? I mean in RP mode i can make PVP right? if i can, what should i do with my pve character. Should i create new character or can i change my attributes , secondary profession etc. Hope you can understand what im trying to say because my english is not so good . Thanks for helps. |

You can change your PvE character's secondary profession, skills, and attributes to be more appropriate for PvP any time you want, so long as you are in an outpost (you must earn the ability to change your secondary profession, however).

You can still continue to play RP mode on your Necromancer. If you want to try out PvP i suggest you make a separate PvP character, just because it's really expensive for new players to buy good PvP gear ( shield sets, armor, caster weapons, etc.) In PvP you can use the weapon upgrades you indentified in RP mode and they're free to use. Also when you've won some PvP matches and you've earned some Balthazar's factions you can unlock some new upgrades and skills at a Priest of Balthazar. The skills you unlock will be available for all your PvP characters and your heroes in RP mode.
So in short, first make a PvP character if you want to PvP and if you've earned a lot of money in RP get PvP gear for your character and start PvPing! |

The game doesn't have 'modes', characters do.
RP character = You start at level 1. You can access PvE areas of the game, as well as PvP arenas. You need to unlock skills and buy equipment for each PvE character separately. Past certain point in the game, you can unlock other secondary classes and change them whenever you are in an outpost. PvP character = You start at level 20, and are immediately given max-damage weapons and max-protection armor. You can only access PvP areas. You need to unlock skills and equipment improvements for PvP characters, but once unlocked, all PvP characters on the account can access them for free. You can also change secondary class at will. In both cases, once you can access a skill, you can swap them in and out whenever you are in an outpost. There you can also increase and decrease attributes. The point of this system is that people who want to PvP can completely ignore leveling and character building and jump straight into the action. Also, -all- characters can experiment with skills and gear as much as they want, and can look for the build that works best for them. Hops this helps.
