Run 2 Guild Wars at once on same PC?
Anyone know what is currently the best way to run 2 Guild Wars at once on the same PC? I'm on Windows 7 x64. Thanks.

Use a search engine to find GWx2 and follow the instructions.

I like GW Multi Launch the best. You can run more than 2 accounts if needed.

Can you run two sessions of the same account? It's possible but is it against EULA? I'd just rather run a different char on the same account while the main gets drunk than run another account (or have one sit on a ring at a festival while another does the quests - obviously then everyone would just have all there chars on a ring - hmm).
I vaguelly remember a trade exploit if running two sessions of the same account so I always assumed you weren't supposed to. Can anyone confirm if it's against EULA or not? |

As far as I know it's not possible to run 2 chars from the same account. Might be possible with some serious hacking but even if, that would be seriously against the EULA.

I believe that as soon as you log into once instance you'll be auto logged out of the other. Untested since I'm at work, but that's what happens if you try to use the same acc. on two machines, even from the same IP address.

Logging in on the other account and playing will give the first account an error 007 and a session timed out message. This repeats indefinitely. It's possible there is some way of getting around it, but I rather doubt it - seems like it's probably tied to the way the game itself is programmed. After all, you can't play as the same character at once, and if you played as two different characters, the friend list server would get messed up. I would very much like it if there was a workaround, but such is not the case. |
