Coming back.
I played quite vigorously a while back, and put quite a lot of money into my Guild Wars account. The only problem for me currently is that I've got no way I see of getting my account back.
I think the root of this problem lies in the fact I don't know my NCSoft details, so I can't reset my password. This kind of stems from my original email being exploited recently, at least, it looks as if it has been. Now, for the question. Is there a way that I can get contact to NCSoft to recover my old information, and make sure that I've got my NCSoft details put down somewhere? From observation I believe that there is a way they can link my original Guild Wars email to my NCSoft account, but the problem behind this is... I don't know what to do to get it all back. Thanks in advance. |

Contact their support. They will ask you for as much information as possible that pretains to your account details
These things help: -Address at the time of creation -DOB of user who created the account -All scanned or pictures OF your account keys -The email used to regester the account. -The account name (which IS an email in plaintext, but not really needing to be a real email) -A name of a character on the account. And explain, as much as possible, in genuine truth - your situation, and you might be that much closer to getting the account back. |

I have already made contact with support with some basic information at the minute, and I have kept all of my boxes, keys - a little looking around would find them. I've put some in at the minute, but on an unrelated note, I've got some stuff going on as it is, and I'm not prepared to have another irritation on my shoulders.

anything you can remember about your account that you give them will get you a better chance of account retrieval as many char names as you what levels they are.. the more info you give the better chance they believe its your account

As long as you have your access keys I think you should be set.

They will probably ask for a scan of at least one of the keys. That's about all you will need. They only ask for other information if you can't supply a scan.

Well now it is more of a player issue rather than an account issue - I've reclaimed, but I've found near enough everything is ripped from my account, from armoursets to weaponry. Returning any is what I need to do nown - my Assassin still has some of its stuff to spare (Full armourset), and apart from the Mesmer I was going to delete I've got literally nothing. I seem to have a lot of minipets littered over my account, but I don't really imagine they're worth much now, and I guess the only real answer here is "Farm using an Assassin" unless it's been nerfed anyway.
Thanks anyway though, more advice at this point would be splendid. |

Well the fifth year minis have just been released (a few days ago they started appearing), so if you have any of those you will have something of value to trade to get you started.

Hey Tyla. Welcome back.
I too have just started playing again recently although due to work commitments it is far more casual play than in the past (I miss freelance work). I am currently helping a friend with his first play through of the game but any time i am free i'll be happy to allocate some play time with a former guildie. |

Kuro: Could always get a bit of a get-together, I don't mind helping your friend with you, since my contacts list has gone way downhill - only a few are on to talk to and play with and such. Though, if memory serves, making a basic armourset for my characters will take up about... well, probably over 200k for the lot, including my heroes... well, I'll just have to pick up some cheap green weapons and run something like Spiritway or whatever build is being ran, I think the "fix my account" part is far more important than devising a perfect build at the moment. |
