There isn't really a best campaign for PvP, to be truly competitive you'll need all campaigns.
Also since the game is sometimes balanced there isn't a "best" profession either, but as assassins go they are used in all forms of PvP and are a viable melee class. To earn equipment and skills in PvP you use balthazar faction which is earned from playing PvP. Finally, try here for a PvP guild |

Warrior, monks, rangers, mesmers, and elementalists are good in pretty much all forms of pvp. Every other class has fairly limited use. Rangers and monks are difficult for a new player, though. Mesmers are difficult unless you get a certain build that will remain nameless. For a someone lacking in experience, I would recommend warrior, assassin, or elementalist, as it's easy to be okay at those professions. Factions is the only campaign that gives access to competitive missions, but you need all campaigns to play pvp competitively. It is recommended that you play pve first so you can get a feel for the game and so people don't rage at you for being inexperienced, but, if you don't feel like it, that's cool. gl;hf |

there is no best campaign for pvp. pvp is global and the main pvp arenas exist in an area accessible to all campaigns. to be able to be competitive in pvp, you must have all the campaigns so that you may have access to all the existing skills and professions.
as for best class, there isn't any best class. every class has its advantages and disadvantages for the different formats of pvp you can play. It also highly depends on personal preference and skill level which class may be best for you to play. we don't even know what type of pvp format you are interested in and i doubt that you know either. if you do nothing but pvp, you will unlock more skills and gear through the priest of balthazar using balthazar faction. this will be pretty hard starting out though seeing as you will prolly lose alot and not earn much balthazar faction. you can also play in PvE to unlock items and skills for use in pvp. lastly, it is against the forum rules to just generally ask for a build. don't do it. research for yourself on pvxwiki.com. also read the forum rules before posting. |

There is no best profession or campaign for PvP. You need all the campaigns if you want to advance further than Zaishen or RA. As for a good PvP guild, get good then look for one. You get unloack items by spending Balthazar factions which you get from killing stuff and winning and you can create max items straightaway from a PvP-only character.
