Noobie Help
So i just started the free trial and are planning to buy the first GW pack, prophecies.
I was then reading the forums and decided that i think assassins fit my class selection the best b/c i like dealing lots of dmg quick. Though the problem is i dont know what to pick for my second class/profession or whatever it is called. I know it would be nice to be more durable or something, but really i dont know the game and wanted to know what the best combination for assassin is and what would add most to the class, like what is the best combo now. Thanks anyone who replies |

Well as far as I play assassin I would recomment A/W. This is though, only for the skill Save Yourselves, I am not playing it with a hammer or a sword or something. Seconly A/W is good in PvP, as you use daggers to deal quick spike dmg, and switch to hammer from time to time to knock your enemy down.
Then you can also pick a A/R and use a critical barrage build. The elite skill barrage lets you attack alot of foes with one foe, and with high critical strikes this can lead to alot of dmg. I play most of the time a A/P though, and use a spear, some spear attacks and Seeping Wound, or what the name of the skill was again. But for this you require nightfall. An Assassin is best with daggers your imo (at least looking at the style you like playing) and does not really need a secondary profession for more then 1 or 2 skills. And remember on 1/3 of the chapter of factions you are given the possibility to switch secondary profession, and keep changing it. So no worries if you think another secondary prof might suit you better, you can always change later |

You need the Factions campaign to play an Assassin.

Yes, you can only make an Assassin in Factions. But that's OK, because you can buy the Trilogy (Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall) as a set for about $50.

The Trilogy is $40 on Amazon (retail box, free shipping) and also as a download from the ANet store on the log in screen or NCSoft store or Steam.
