Weapon attributes question
Hey guys, iv got a quick question that, tbh, im kinda embarrased to ask. I should probably know the answer to this after over three years of playing.
If you put extra points into a weapon attribute beyond a weapon's req, will damage (excluding critical hit chance) be increased? For example, say im using a bow build that doesnt actually use any attack skills in the marksmenship line. Would it be ok to just put 9 into marksmenship? Would it negatively effect anything besides the crit hit chance of the bow? I know im not being real clear but my question basically is, with the exception of attack skills, does adding more points to a weapon attribute increase attack damage? |

Short answer: more attribute levels = more damage.
Martial weapons only deal listed damage if their attribute requirement is met and you have 12 levels in its attribute. So you can deal 100% of listed damage with a req. 9 bow if you have 12 levels in Marksmanship. Long answer: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Damag...#Weapon_Damage |
