noob question (but neccessary) - Guild Wars Forums

Can anyone explain to me exactly what I have to do to be able to join PuG groups to defeat Mallyx. I join groups and they mention something about fr? (french?). Ive literally just gotten to DoA from the chantry of secrets, whats my next step? I like to solo area's but there aren't any henchmen to use here so I have to take another player with me (sigh). Need help, as I am really interested in doing Mallyx for the first time.

I suggest you go to pvxwiki and study the builds there. You can read up on what to do and what class and skills that are in demand. Remember it is an elite place, so a less experienced player with skills he put together on his own got no chance. You will have to adapt to one of the pvxwiki builds in order to get a slot in a PuG.

There are guilds specialised in DoA runs usually recruiting in that outpost . The easy way would be to join one of them at least for a while and learn - > you will also have a lot more chances for a group.

fr = full run. Do you want to do all 4 areas of DoA?

I see you are a monk, so you shouldn't have many problems getting in. Just make sure you either have a HB (Healer's Boon) build or UA (Unyielding Aura) based build and you should be a shoe-in.
Also try to raise your Lightbringer rank. If you need a good place to do that join SS/LB HM farms at the Ruins of Sahal$#! (whatever it's called).

its ok now, no1 told me you have to join a FR group before a mallyx group

Yes they did, High Priest Zelix will tell you if you get the quest from him ...

Yeah but the problem is, everyone just assumes you know all the jargon that goes with it, so your looking for a group but theres so many abbreviations
