Such mentality lead to what pvp is atm... who cares of xx, who cares of xy. Actually , this can apply for ANY pvp format , ANY( ask pvers or 60% of pvpers if they do care of GvG especially , or even HA).

You're right, but what do CMs exist for? If you want to Alliance faction farm do DTSC or MQSC. If you want to kill NPCs just PvE. If you want to kill people do RA/Codex and maybe HA/GvG. I don't want any format to be made redundant but clearly some player bases are bigger than others and should be catered to accordingly. Look at people who think that [insert profession] is weak in [insert low grade and rarely filled PvP arena] and should be buffed to [insert OP profession in that arena] without considering the consequences on [insert higher tier PvP]. I doesn't make sense. Well for me, and probably a lot of other people, CMs fit into that low tier category. Of course there are people that do feel the other way and that's fine it creates diversity and keeps their prefered format alive.

PvP is what it is like today due to age, power creep, cheaters, elitism, neglect on the part of the developer. Player apathy is only a small part.
