better feather farm?
I was farming sensalis from seitung...like 100 feathers per 10-15 min run, and like hmm...~2 stacks in 2-3 hours maybe. But I tried to farm tengus in naphui NM - like 20 feathers if I'm lucky + iron or dust from weapons.
In seitung - a lot of mobs, 2-3 feathers from mob (or 5-8 as a material drop). In naphui-small amount of mobs, but good feather and other materials farm. Which way is better to farm FEATHERS? (I'm soloing both by sos spam) |

From preference, I've always found seitung better. Just a better run all round for me, simple fast and yields plenty of feathers - remember to pick up their crests too.

I've found Seitung to be better. Mind you, i don't use SoS.
Take this build for more speed. Destructive Was Glaive Ancestor's Rage Heart of Shadow Shadow Sanctuary Shadow Refuge Dark Escape Dash (Great Dwarf Armor) - I don't have this yet, so, just taking Death's Charge. Cast DwG, run into mob, cast Shadow Sanctuary (or Dark Escape and Shadow Refuge), wait for them to group up, cast Ancestors, DwG and drop DwG. |

Just because I don't use him for much else, I use my derv. Avatar of Dwayna is particularly well-suited for the hex-heavy birds up there. I found it to be roughly as efficient as the 100B build (almost as fast, but you never get screwed by the hexes).
As far as which farm is better, definitely jaya. Nahpui is ok, but you have to deal with stronger foes and bosses/celestials that don't drop feathers. Some of the drops there, however, are nicer. |

i prefer sietung. Mostly because i can just tank the area(stoneflesh+Healing breeze is win) then use like unsteady ground after shock and telvanni's crystals that should kill them all. then jsut run e-management and stone daggs or energy and finishing off straglers. Preety easy i say.

A bud an I used to 600/smite Naphui HM for feathers pretty often. Thought we would give it a go to see how the changes affect that farm. We had to tweak the builds a bit but got it to work about as fast as before. If I get a chance, I'll post the builds we used. Typical 30-35min run amounts to about 175 feathers and 6-10k worth of merch stuff, unid golds, and mats (a lot of iron can be salvaged here). This is per person by the way but dual account 600/smite isn't as easy as it used to be so find a friend.
I think this is what we found to be almost as fast as our original builds: 600 Owgk4cPIEGyjWseYx2HpE5BARfA Smiter OwYT44HDHS6LfImUfAfgeIkQmAA Last edited by Jk Arrow; Sep 11, 2010 at 03:32 AM // 03:32.. |

Nahpui sucks compared to Seitung. It has bigger mobs closer to each other, meaning more feathers, less time. 2-3 runs through Jaya Bluffs and I'm at a stack already.
North Kryta is a nice place too. Downside is you have to run a big to get to the plain. But I get alot of goldies next to feathers. I've switched between chars for best droprate: W/Rt Signet of Stamina, VWK, Vengeful Weapon, Sever, Signet of Infection, I Am Unstoppable, Feel No Pain, Sprint E/A Stoneflesh, Glyph, Shockwave, Whirlwind, Aftershock, Elemental Lord, Shadowsanctuary, Dash Mo/A Roj, Smite Hex, Castigation Signet, Shielding Hands, Healing Breeze, Prot Spirit, Balthazar Spirit, Dash R/Rt DWG, Ancestors Rage, By Ural's Hammer, Troll Unguent, Dodge, Zojun, Natural Stride (and one more but I forgot) Rt/A Vampirism, Pain, Bloodsong, SoS, Armor of Unfeeling, Painful Bond, Summon Spirits, Dash With A/E, Pre Shadowform nerf, I used to run the UW farming build. But anyways, put in some PvE skills, I don't have them all on all chars. GLHF everybody. Remember keep stacks at 9k! |

Wow 20 feathers in naphui? Did u do a full run? I seem to be lucky there but a full run can take up too 40 minutes yet i still walk out with 200+ - 350+ per run. All in all i preffer to run feathers outside seiteng for 60-100 per 10 minute run. Thats pretty much the best spot, quick and easy.

Jaya Bluff or North Kryta Province (for NKP you must not have War in Kryta active or have it completed so it doesnt get spoiled by tons of mantle and peacekeepers)
I like to go MM, you basically need 4 skills: Ebon Vanguard Assassin SUpport, Aura of The Lich, vampyric horrors and shambling horrors. You can add a asuran imp summon, hex remover and self heal like hexers vigor (or monk heal). You will always have 2 servants to start with and in nm they can easily make you more corpses. Then you just need to spam minions and pick up drops until you die from boredom Once you have 8-10 minions rolling they can kill any amount of tengu quite fast and you dont have to care about targeting skills and such. |

I farm in N Kryta, start in Bergen and walk into N kryta.
But I dont do it for the feathers but the caromi scalps for halloween. The feathers, golds and the runes are just icing on the cake. |
