Question about faction - Guild Wars Forums

Alright so here's the story, started playing guildwars in 06, I sorta quit after I beat NF then gwen when it came out, and lately got back into it.

My question is this, I never understood what to do with kurzick or luxon faction, I know balthazar can be used for unlocks and whatever but is there a good way to spend kurzick/luxon/ even balthazar that I don't know about?

Just some more info, I haven't been in a guild for 3 years either so yea...

currently have in (thousands)
9.52/10 balthz
24.687/27 kurz
20/20 lux

faction can be used for rewards - scrolls , jade , amber etc which is on the above link .
Now if your in a guild say luxon and you donate 5k faction you will get 10k towards luxon title and same if it were kurz.The downside to donating is any faction you have for other "side" is removed.

to make that simplier: You can exchange faction for items, but if you have any faction in the other division(if you buy lux items your kurzick goes down and vice versa) that amount goes down. Hope this helped.

Also note that you can use the Faction to purchase the Kurzick/Luxon skills. Buy the ones for the side you have the highest title track for, but note that many of them are still quite effective even with 0 in the title track.

iirc you need to be r1 before you can buy Lux/Kurz skills?

If thats the case you'll need to donate at least 50k faction (it doubles if you donate to your guild) so they'll take a bit of faction to get.

They won't allow you other way.

Thanks for the answers guys, I feel silly for not checking Wiki first. At any rate hmph, I always thought there was more that could be done with faction. Oh well.
