LDOA--a waste of time?
i have a dilemna. i worked on my ldoa char every now and then for about 1.5 years and with the hom rewards i realise the title is useless. my questions is should i finish the title (im only lvl 17 53%) or should i just bring him to post searing. also he has about 5 stacks of goth which i plan to max my cons titles on my main and im getting vabbian armor on him too.

It depends on why you were chasing that title. If you were doing it in hopes of HoM reward then no. If you wanted the title for itself then yes.

Ive never done it, but it is one of the only non pvp titles that still carries some weight, as you cant pay/cheat to get it done. It also seems to me like ur most of the way there, so I would finish it.

Personnaly, i would keep him since that is a lot of exp on him and just get a guildie to post your GotH. this is because like Luminarus said it is in my opinion the only title actually worth something as all others are buyable. that was the reason i made my one in july and he is at 17 and 82%. so i would keep him, a few good runs makes a world of differences in exp

I would say go ahead and get the title then follow through with your plans involving the goths. GW2 is still pretty far away from what we know.
Long story short, IMO if you quit your LDoA now then that would be a waste of time. |

LDoA is still one of the least acquired titles in the game. Probably the least acquired PvE title. So it's a pretty cool title in itself. Finish it.

I'd say LDoA is definitely the least acquired PvE title in the game (maybe aside from GWAMM), so yeah, I would go for it.
BTW the least acquired title in the whole game would be Legendary Hero :P |

This. If you have time, do it. LDoA is one of the few titles I'll look twice at if I see a PUG wearing it in town. Among others I look at R14+, G9+, Max Zaishen etc. (Basically PvP ones lol). Most PvE titles mean absolutely nothing. I remember seeing Kind Of A Big Deal for the first time when titles came out and being astounded! I took a screenie and everything. Now I don't even look twice at GWAMM....

You are quite far so i would get it.
I got it myself a couple of months ago. It's a very nice title to have because it's so unique. At first i wanted to get it because it's my favorite title of the game. "Legendary Defender of Ascalon!" It sounds cooler then GWAMM, Champion of the Gods etc. imo! So i'm a little bit pissed off that it doesn't give anything extra for the HoM. A direct title transfer like GWAMM would be very cool, and i hope Anet wil think about this. |

And like all the others here, I do suggest that you finish the title. I am assuming you've still to do all the quests. If this is the case then you only have to goto 19 +35% and you can start questing. And a level and a half of death levelling is nothing, you're already over half way there. |

You should finish the title.
You will regret taking it to post without the title... (At least I did...) GW2 is far away, so you are in no rush |

Just go for it as,
The way to look at is............ you are about there and nobody expected it to be in HOM. you are doing it for yourself and think of it H.O.M will not give you any advantage in gameplay in GW2 over a person who has NEVER PLAYED gw1 its guys who beleive that they should be rewared in some way or another for playing gw1 Easy way to put it ,,should a person who had given cash to anet re accounts , makeovers , panes ect be rewarded better than a one account person..... same situation but guys have given more to anet than a 1 account So go for the title its for your ownfeeling of hey I achived something that many have not |

I'm thinking hard about trashing mine too. I'm only level 15 with no experience in death leveling and no need for the title, so it's hard for me to find motivation to learn. Plus, he's got lots of good stuff that I could combine with my post stuff.
Ehhhh, I wouldn't sear him just yet. Maybe we should finish after all . |

I'd recommend keeping him seeing as you've come this far, and anyhow, I find it's often nice to switch to a pre-searing char once in a while, it's a nice change-up from thhe rest of the game.
However, if you really only wanted the titles for rewards in GW2, then the answer is yes, it's a complete waste of time, but that's how GW works really, everything is for vanities sake. I'm not an expert on the title myself, so I can't say how much longer you have to get to level 20, but I assume it's still a hell of a long time to go. If you are looking for improving HoM rewards, just go through all the other stuff first until your happy with your HoM, then if you feel like it, you can dedicate yourself to LDoA a bit more. So overall, I'd definitely keep him, just in case |

If you wanna grind the rest of it, then do it. If not, don't. Is up to you really. You could always get someone you trust (or if you have an alt or whatever) to transfer your stuff to your post char if you want to work on the title in pre.
