Black Moa bird and the fellowship monument - Guild Wars Forums

I just finished the quest and charmed the black moa bird.. I went up to the fellowship monument but for some reason it won't let me "display" it for a statue.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

did you have it with you?
do you already have one and had your HoM on account view?
do you have a tapestry already displayed?

since you didnt give any other information these are what I check first.....

It has to be of an evolution other than elder.
Elder is the black moa's evolution when tamed in the wild. Bring it to the menagerie and get a different evolution and level it from 15 to 20 (if you don't have faction to unlock level 20 of all evolutions).

I didn't have to do this. I capped it and put it in straight away, having never considered ever capping it on any of my characters prior to this.

I've had a lot of people in my alliance have this problem and I suggested getting a new evolution and it worked.
So this is my advice for the problem.

I know that it didn't used to be that way, as I too capped and put it in right away a few years ago, but there seems to be a new issue with that.

You say you have your HoM on account view---you should put it on personal view...if you already have a statue of a moa up you cant put another one in. You have to not have one on the character you are trying to put it in on.
You have to have it with you to put it in as well.
So try on personal view with just you and the bird and see if that works (leave the heroes behind too).

Mine went straight into the hom, only changes to the Moa where adventuring with him for a couple of years and renaming him.

My Phoenix I had put into the menagerie so of course had to get it back up to lvl 20.

Thanks to the person who said level your pet on the Wurms just outside the starting point of Eye.

Thank you, this worked for me. It registered in personal view.

Profession: Rt/	did you have it with you? do you already have one and had your HoM on account view? do you have a tapestry already displayed? since you didnt give any other information these are what I check first..... __________________ where is the 'all you can eat' cookie bar?
