i'm trying to learn the prices for items, and I can't understand this - this is an item from a recent sale, let's focus on the paper fan on the right

what makes it so expensive that the sale thread creator puts s/b at 20e? is it the skin only? because stats look like nothing special to me and it's q12 :/

so, what am I missing here?

Yes, the prices are often based on the rarity of the skin, not the attributes (that usually can be easily replicated on any skin).

the skin is one of the rarest noninscr focus skins (with paper lantern and jug)...
and also many ppl rly just think that its awsome looking (even if you dont^^)...

thats the only reason why the price is so high

"Oldschool" items with skins, requirements (attribute and level,) and fixed mods which can be duplicated readily and inexpensively with inscribable gear available today will sometimes sell for more/be considered more valuable than the inscribable counterparts simply due to the rarity of finding such mods on an inherent item. Some people put a premium on that, especially if you're talking about dual-modded OS items with complimentary or matching max/near-max fixed modifiers.

The really expensive stuff is often like the examples from your pictures - items with skins, stats, and/or attribute and level reqs. which cannot be duplicated with inscription items. system.fan is right about Paper Fans - they're often considered quite a good skin with a lot of players.

If you're trying to get a handle on which inherent stuff falls into which category, you might find take_me's wiki list of skins which can't be found with inscription slots helpful. I know I did/still do!
