Best time/district to find groups for Deep/Urgoz
So basically what I said in the title.
What's the best time and district to find groups for the Deep and Urgoz? (Remember to mention the time zone you're in ) |

Best time to find a group for Deep/Urgoz is on the day that it is a Zaishen quest.
1/16 and 1/31 are the next for Kanaxai/Urgoz to show up as zquests. |

The easiest way to get a pug for it is to wait until the Zaishen Bounties come around. Next time for the deep: 16th january, urgoz's warren: 31st january.

To add to what's been said - There aren't many PUGs doing The Deep or Urgoz's these days. It's a combination of many factors, including the relatively few people doing Factions and the need to use a scroll to get there.
Your best bet is to wait for the Zaishen Quest to come around. Next best to that would be to join a Guild/Alliance with people wanting to do them. Or maybe you could try to arrange a group through the forums. Btw, at least with Heroes, you only need 3 humans for Urgoz and 4 for The Deep. (although I have done the Deep with only 9 players, in the past.) Time/district-wise, I'm not sure. Probably America district starting around 1700 GMT and continuing until 0400. Outside of guilds and Zaishen day you're pretty much shit out of luck. There are a few factors which are part of the reason for this. The rewards are pitiful for the effort involved and finding a party of 12 is a full time job. If you're in it for fun by all means go for it. If you're in it for profit or to find that rare gold item you're wasting your time.

Try to get on Mumble if you want to do those missions. I'm sure people wouldn't mind doing Urgoz again if you asked them to.

No items that are worth it?
Go check Ventari, there is a zodiac staff q9 channeling going for ~130e i think.. Get a nice dualmod shield and you're 300e richer.. Even a q9 15^50 sword would set you up ~80k.. People just cba anymore.. Only Urgoz i do is record runs with the guild (got 11min, but damn can't nail that 10min ) Only downside to that is: almost no drops because you only kill things that are absolutely necessary. All you get is end chest, and that's a worthless piece of junk anyway |

I still stand by my statement. There's no items worth your time in Urgoz/Deep. How many runs is it gonna take you to ever get anything worth selling? Do you know how tedious it is just to get a group for the average player? Riddle me that. You're opinion is biased because you're in a SC guild which is not the norm.

Some people actually play the game to have fun, so what they do does not depend so much on how good the drops are. Sure, once you've done the Deep and Urgoz, there's less incentive to do them again, but just within the last couple of weeks, I and two guildmates (and 5 heroes, and a random pickup) did Urgoz's just for grins.

Me and two friends ran a variant of this last night:
http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:Team_-_Deep_Heroway It was a resounding success! By the time we got done setting it up, we actually had FIVE humans in the team, so the monk and necro just adopted the hero builds (in a way) of the monk/necro we replaced, and good game. Having two W/A's who were pretty good players was key, I think. Good pulls, good blocking, and two copies of Recall = win! We did a NM and then a HM run, and boy oh boy this place isn't as hard as I remember it being. :-) Quote:
One of us went home with a q9 inscribable divine favor zodiac staff. q10 command inscribable Exalted Aegis, also. The HM run took about 45 minutes. Last edited by Ghull Ka; Dec 11, 2010 at 07:38 PM // 19:38.. |
