I'd be tempted to go for rit too. Maybe with monk second. THen again, that is from pure guts and PuG experience, but you'll alway want 2 monks (or monk/RIT) and I generally feel like there is more often 2 rits than other proffs. But then again, I do play rits and most other classes don't interfere as much as rits, so rits have to check builds more often.

Ritualist - solo farming
Assassin - SC, farming Monk - heal is always needed Warrior and necromancer are the best and fastest way to self explore the PvE. People create one of those character to get the first impressions about the game. |

Here's the question to ask. If you were to start a new character today, assuming you have only one character and it's your least fav profession, what would it be?
That's the most popular profession. I started a ranger and played him loyally for 9 months, in late '06. Then I switched to Paragon (just in time to miss the Ursan days. darnit!) and played that until 3 months ago. I briefly tried a warrior again. Liked it better than the first time I tried it, but still hated it. I went rit at the beginning of December and haven't looked back. In less than 4 attempts I farmed more ectos than I have since Dec. 2006. I like paragons, but their roles and builds are very limited, and they have many drawbacks. |

actually I found a paragon is great for PvE exploration, being able to keep heroes/henchies alive better than most professions.

Poor micro made me pick those to characters.
The necro MM + minions is an avalanche that can`t be stopped or blocked. With more micro you can use another necro build that kills enemy parties without troubles - SS nuker. Both builds are 2/3 skill-spamming and even a starter can handle it. The warrior isn`t the ULTIMATE class but i think that a good aggro is 70% of the win. |

Assassin.
I'd like to say ritualist because of everyone jumping on the SoS bandwagon, but for every rit you see, there's 2 assassins next to him....and 5 behind him. |

I would put my money on Warrior just because it's sort of the "go to" profession for a new player not familiar with the game and most people tend to show some loyalty toward the profession they first started with.

Sure assassins are common but SoS rits are EVERYWHERE. Its like they breed twice as fast as any other profession. While I see assassins fairly common, I definitely see rits more often. That is why I no longer play my rit much anymore.

Ritualists.
Probably because SoS Rit is the easiest and most mindless thing to play, which makes it very common. You can literally place your spirits in front of a mob, and spend .5-2 mins off surfing the web while they and your AI do all the work. I do see quite a few sins, but only usually in places where they're PUG'ing for SC's (tons of them, though). Warriors have FoWSC but nothing else really, so I only see them on occasion. Monks are 50/50 with being common, as sometimes, it can be IMPOSSIBLE to find one when you need it ;D |

if you want a GOOD gaming experience, i say go ranger... it seems to be the most underpowered class but yet once you learn how to play the game and build your heroes, they rock
