Salvaging Armour
Hi All
For the HOM I must have spent a small fortune recently, and still have to get my Obby Armour. Now I got my Vabbian Armour which I really dont like but it is now dedicated to the HOM. Would I get any kind of return on Rubys or Saphires if i was to Salvage the armour? I have never tried salvaging Elite Armour before. Cheers Druid |

There is no guarantee that you will get rubies or sapphires. Most likely you'll get whatever other materials went into it, but there is the very small chance you can get gems.
For example an Obsidian Chest takes 45 Ecto but I'm pretty sure the best you can get salvaging it is about 5 Ecto. |

^ It's actually around 15, but yes, the return rate on salvaging Obsidian or Vabbian armor is minimal, with the chance of it being the rarest and most expensive materials being the lowest.

If you're never going to use it, you may as well salvage it, because you at least have a chance of getting some gems back. Otherwise, since it was so expensive to make, it would be a good idea to not get rid of it.

Bottom line is - you won't get any significant amount of materials back.

As above, go for it if you're not using it just salvage it, also if u have runes on it take those first.

Hi, I actually prefer my Vabbian armour to Obsdian armour. Anyone have any clue as to what I might get back if I salvaged my Ranger Obsidian armour?

From what I've seen that applies to any armor of any level. Salvaging seems to favor giving you the lowest materials and in much smaller numbers than went into crafting it. Armor is the main material sink after all.
